Premiere - Virtual Block 8.2
Premiere - Virtual Block 8.2 is the constructed card pool of every Decipher card plus the Players Committee virtual cards through Virtual Block 8.2: Agents For Hire. The 8.2 PDF has official text as of 14 September 2012, and the Players Committee posted "8.2 Released!" on 20 September 2012.[1][2] No tournament-legal date was found; in June 2012 the plan had been legality one week after release.[3] Decklists of the 2012 World Championship (12–14 October 2012) use 8.2 cards such as Lady Luck and Lando Calrissian, Unlikely Hero.[4] The pool lasted until Virtual Block 8.3 (official text 28 March 2013) became legal; that date is unknown.[5] The Players Committee's name for its constructed format until 2014 was Standard: the 25 July 2014 announcement that replaced this pool was titled "Reset of Standard Format" and said that "The new Standard tournament format will consist of all post-reset V Cards".[6] "Legacy" was created only then, for the pre-reset cards.

Card pool
The pool is every Decipher card plus every Players Committee virtual release up to and including 8.2 Agents For Hire:

- The earlier numbered Virtual Sets 1–17, including Defensive Shields, as realigned in 2009 into Virtual Blocks 1–5.[7][8]
- Virtual Block 6 release 6.1 Reflections IV (110 cards).[9][10] Seventeen of the Legacy Virtual Shields were printed in this release.[11]

- Virtual Block 7 release 7.4 Ultimate Legacy (22 cards).[22][23]
- Virtual Block 8 release 8.1 Scoundrels (49 cards).[24][25]
- Virtual Block 8 release 8.2 Agents For Hire (28 cards).[26][1]
Changes made while this pool was in force:
- 14 September 2012: "September CBT Changes" (headline only in the preserved copy used here).[2]
- 30 October 2012: errata to Floating Refinery (V).[27]
- 29 January 2013: persona name changes, "in effect immediately"; "The old slips will be considered valid for tournament play."[28]
History
8.2 was first announced for July 2012 and then postponed.[3][29] Compared with Premiere - Virtual Block 8.1, the pool adds the 28 Agents For Hire cards (11 Dark Side, 17 Light Side).[26]
8.3 Preview Set. On 20 December 2012 the Players Committee posted "the 4 cards that make up the 8.3 Preview Set" and wrote: "It is our intention that these will be legal for use in the MPC."[30] Decklists of the 2013 Match Play Championship (24–27 January 2013) include preview cards such as Black Market Blaster and Carbonite Chamber Console (V).[31] These cards are also in the later 8.3 release, A Wretched Hive.[32] This wiki does not treat the preview as a separate pool: from January 2013 this pool is 8.2 plus the four preview cards. The exact date they became legal is not known.
