Introduction

This deck aims to win though the judicious use of pilots who can control both ground and air. Did I mention that no one wants to come to Hoth to face the mighty Walker Garrison?

Strategy

SET UP: Use YMSYL to pull Defensive Perim & Walker Garrison. Do not deploy! Using your Obj text, pick out an AT AT, the gun, the Epic Event, or Death Squadron, whatever helps you most (in most cases it will be AT AT gun, if you have a walker in hand). Deploy the DS2 DB when you can to get more force. (or Hoth if you have to)

Activation will be a little tight early on- with the two DBs out, and the BF Bridge you are up to 9 on your own. That should be enough to flip. If you need a good pilot, pull Blizzard 4 and get the pilot of your choice. By not deploying the 3rd Marker, as long as you are not playing LU (V), you can shoot the MPG from the Ice Plains and not get caught under the shield. (that's why you don't play the Def Perim ASAP!)

Once you shoot it, you can deploy the Def Perim & ditch YCHF for Sec Precautions (V). You'll be activating into the "teens" next turn. Continue to drain and hit the Walker Garrison for big damage.

CARD CHOICES

I play non-combo YCHF so I can't get it suspended by DDTA.

Character selection is pretty standard… I use the Admirals to get use out of Flagship and Imp Command. General and Commanders are there to get a little more damage out of WIAPN at the Perim and DB. There are a good # of ability 2 Imps, so I should get a good amount of forfeit bonus by running non-combo IAO.

Space is pretty heavy, but I really want to hold Hoth (plus I get that nifty deploy bonus with PFSA). Flagship pulls my Admirals, Come With Me flies them where they need to be, and Death Squadron makes them even cheaper. With the big Executor out, it is remotely possible to make the DSSD, Tyrant, and the ISD deploy for 1 Force.

My interrupt choice is largely defensive. Defensive Fire lets me shoot my AT AT Gun twice, Crash Landing, Debris Zone, Trample, and Walker Barrage all help vs speeders. Unsalvageable helps me get rid of crashed speeders and empty ships, as well as protecting me from some nasty LS cards.

Thanks for the review, Slim! Actually, I'm ok vs. TRM Revo- I'm guessing you forgot the part on IO (V) where my Hoth locations are not affected by Revo- so at most I'd lose 3 activation from BF Bridge and DS2 DB. It might hurt early, and then I might have to gamble and see if it's worth deploying the Def Perim. I'll play with it and see- I suppose I can always swap in the Wampa Cave for the Bridge. You are right about LU (V), I wanted to try to meta for it, without devoting tons of stuff specifically to it.

Thanks for the review, Cam! I think that Sniper/DS would be a nice way to slow down speeders, since I could theoretically play Def Fire and DS another hit card during the weapons phase. I will see how unforgiving my meta is as far as LU (V), but for now will keep it out, but keep it in mind. Like I mentioned, I don't want to overtech, and hopefully having Bliz 4 and another walker plus pilots is enough to deter most folks.

Thanks for the review, Hoth! Thanks for the catch on card qty. I dropped Lateral Damage since my space should be sufficent to hold Hoth and since I don't have a planet to target it with. For now, the Vader stays!
