Introduction
The latest in my "Pet Store" decks, I'm now focusing on a variety of 'ferocious' creatures to keep my Ralltiir occupation forces safe. This deck is Theme/Fun, not tournament-level... so anybody giving me a 1 will get their butt kicked.
Decklist
Strategy
Welcome to my humble hole-in-the-wall pet store! How may I help you? What's that? You say you want the means to destroy a rebellion against the Galactic Empire? Well, I've got a few imports in the back that are quite ferocious. Let me tell you a bit about them:
Krayt Dragon - Deploys to your Desert, of course. At ferocity 8 + two destinies, he's a tough cookie to kill... and the perfect first line of defense against decks like Profit, Watch Your Step, or The Hyperdrive Generator's Gone.
Bubo - Man's best friend. He can kill almost anything your opponent can play, except the occasional Jedi or Wookiee.
Dragonsnake - This guy feels right at home in your Swamp. Or, if your opponent is trying to train Leia as a Jedi Knight, he can swallow her whole.
Womp Rats - They're your all-purpose killing machines. When the three of them hunt together, each one is ferocity 4 + a destiny, which means you can get rid of three characters in one battle phase. Best of all, they can go anywhere you want them to!
Wampas - Invade Echo Base first turn. General Rieekan makes a great luncheon for these guys.
Now that you've seen what I have in my stock, perhaps you'd like to hear about how to care for these precious little creatures?
First turn - Use IAO to pull the docking bay, RalOps to pull the Swamp, Bones to pull Bubo (deploy to the docking bay for 1), and Swamp to pull Dragonsnake. Draw up.
Second turn - pull Desert, pull and deploy Krayt Dragon for 5. Draw up.
Third turn - pull Womp Rat, pull Jungle, deploy a walker or two. Draw up.
Fourth turn - pull Womp Rat, deploy a walker or two. Draw up.
Fifth turn - pull Womp Rat, deploy all three of them to Jungle (for free), deploy a walker or two (hopefully flipping by now), draw up.
Rest of game - Spread your walkers out, and use the rest of your forces to battle your opponent's characters elsewhere. Be sure to have Imperials at all four of your sites so you can add 4 to your total battle destiny everywhere!
