This is the dated constructed pool of July – December 2010. For the fixed pre-reset pool played since 2014, see Legacy Open. For all pools of this era, see Virtual Legacy.

Premiere - Virtual Block 7.1 is the constructed card pool of every Decipher card plus the Players Committee virtual cards through Virtual Block 7.1: Ultimate Power. The Players Committee announced the release on 15 June 2010 and said: "V7.1 will be tournament legal starting July 2nd, 2010."[1] The PDF has official text as of 18 June 2010.[2] The pool lasted until 28 December 2010; Virtual Block 7.2 became legal on 29 December.[3] The Players Committee's name for its constructed format until 2014 was Standard: the 25 July 2014 announcement that replaced this pool was titled "Reset of Standard Format" and said that "The new Standard tournament format will consist of all post-reset V Cards".[4] "Legacy" was created only then, for the pre-reset cards.

  • Type: constructed

Card pool

The pool is every Decipher card plus every Players Committee virtual release up to and including 7.1 Ultimate Power. From 26 July 2010 it also includes two V7 preview cards (see below).

Changes made while this pool was in force:

  • 26 July 2010 (announced 23 July as "Pre-Worlds 2010 errata changes"): five gameplay changes. At the request of the Competitive Balance Team two new cards were released as V7 preview cards, Planetary Defenses (V) (a Defensive Shield) and Roche (V), to deal with Commence Primary Ignition decks; and Hidden Base, Field Dressing, Death Star: Central Core (V) and Dark Waters & Krayt Dragon Bones (V) received errata.[15]

History

Ultimate Power was the first release of Block 7, with 48 cards (30 Dark Side, 18 Light Side).[1][14] The 17 June 2010 errata to Death Star Gunner (V) and Rebel Tech (V), made before 7.1 became legal, stayed in force.[16]

The 26 July 2010 changes took effect on the second day of the 2010 Dagobah Regionals (25–26 July 2010).[15][17] Events from then on, including the 2010 World Championship, used the changed pool.

On 25 October 2010 the Players Committee scheduled the next set, 7.2, for 15 December 2010.[18]
