Premiere - Virtual Block 6.2
Premiere - Virtual Block 6.2 is the constructed card pool of every Decipher card plus the Players Committee virtual cards through Virtual Block 6.2: Domain Of Evil. The Players Committee released 6.2 on 7 December 2009 and said: "Cards will be Tournament legal December 21st."[1][2] The pool lasted until Virtual Block 6.3 became legal. The Players Committee planned that for 14 days after a 15 March 2010 release, which is 29 March 2010; no confirmation of that date was found.[3] At the time the Players Committee called its constructed format its "standard playing format"[4], and event listings said "Open Constructed".[5]
- Type: constructed
- Defined by: Players Committee
- Card pool: every Decipher card plus Virtual Blocks 1–5 and Virtual Block 6.1–6.2
- In use: 21 December 2009 – about 28 March 2010 (until 6.3 became legal; see below)
- GEMP: none (GEMP's Legacy environment is the later fixed pool, Legacy Open)
Card pool
The pool is every Decipher card plus every Players Committee virtual release up to and including 6.2 Domain Of Evil:
- Every card printed by Decipher.
- The earlier numbered Virtual Sets 1–17, including Defensive Shields, as realigned in 2009 into Virtual Blocks 1–5.[6][7]
- Virtual Block 6 release 6.1 Reflections IV (110 cards).[8][9] Seventeen of the Legacy Virtual Shields were printed in this release.[10]
- Virtual Block 6 release 6.2 Domain Of Evil (26 cards).[11][2]
History
Domain Of Evil was first announced as a different set, Galaxy At War, for 7 December 2009 with tournament legality on 21 December.[12] On 5 November 2009 the Players Committee instead made the 7 December release a set of about 25 cards continuing the V6: Reflections IV block, meant to adjust "the meta balance between the sides of the force" and to address holdovers from the Revolution mass errata.[13]
Compared with Premiere - Virtual Block 6.1, the pool adds the 26 cards of Domain Of Evil (19 Dark Side, 7 Light Side).[11] The repackaged PDFs of Virtual Blocks 1–5 carry the same 7 December 2009 date.[6]
