This is the dated constructed pool of September–December 2009. For the fixed pre-reset pool played since 2014, see Legacy Open. For all pools of this era, see Virtual Legacy.

Premiere - Virtual Block 6.1 is the constructed card pool of every Decipher card plus the Players Committee virtual cards as of Virtual Set 6: Reflections IV, the first release after the 2009 Virtual Block Reorganization. Reflections IV has official text as of 4 September 2009, and the Players Committee announced it, with the Revolution Errata and the realignment of the earlier Virtual Sets, on 16 September 2009.[1][2] No separate tournament-legal date was found. The pool lasted until 20 December 2009; Virtual Block 6.2 became legal on 21 December.[3] At the time the Players Committee simply called this its standard format: "our standard playing format, which is open deck construction where all cards in the card pool are available for use".[2] Event listings of the time call it "Constructed" or "Open Constructed".[4][5]

  • Type: constructed
  • Defined by: Players Committee
  • Card pool: every Decipher card plus Virtual Blocks 1–5 and Virtual Block 6.1 (Reflections IV)
  • In use: 16 September 2009 – 20 December 2009 (no separate tournament-legal date for 6.1 was found)
  • GEMP: none (GEMP's Legacy environment is the later fixed pool, Legacy Open)

Card pool

The pool is every Decipher card plus every Players Committee virtual release up to and including 6.1 Reflections IV:

Changes made while this pool was in force:

  • 21 September 2009: Rebel Fleet (V) from Reflections IV was temporarily blanked and Strong Is Vader received errata, both effective immediately.[10]
  • 21 October 2009: the errata of Leia, Rebel Princess was revised to a bottom template only, effective immediately.[11]

History

The previous pool was Premiere - Original VS17, with the numbered Virtual Sets 1–17. On 16 September 2009 the Players Committee announced "the completion of Virtual Set 6: Reflections IV, as well as the completion of the Revolution Errata" and a "realignment of the existing virtual sets, into larger sets that are more consolidated": Virtual Set 1: A New Hope, 2: The Empire Strikes Back, 3: Return of the Jedi, 4: Expanded Universe and 5: The Old Republic.[2] The repackaged Block 1–5 PDFs carry the stamp "Official text as of December 7, 2009"; they hold no new cards.[6] The cards of the planned 18th set, Fifth Anthology, were released inside Reflections IV.[7]

So this pool differs from the previous one by the 110 new Reflections IV cards, the mass Revolution Errata and the new Block numbering.[8][2] Decklists of the 2009 World Championship (8–11 October 2009) already include Reflections IV cards such as Han, Chewie, And The Falcon (V) and Let The Wookiee Win (V).[12]

On 28 October 2009 the Players Committee announced the next release, Galaxy At War, for 7 December ("Cards will be tournament legal December 21st").[13] On 5 November it moved Galaxy At War to a later Block and made the 7 December release "a continuation of the V6: Reflections IV block".[14] That release became Virtual Block 6.2, Domain Of Evil.
