Starting Interrupt

From SWCCG Wiki

A Starting Interrupt is an Interrupt that can only be played as a starting card. Its game text has only a STARTING: function, and the slip's banner reads STARTING INTERRUPT. It is the starting-only form of the Used or Starting Interrupt, which can also be played later in the game as a Used Interrupt.

In the Original Virtual sets

The first two appear in Virtual Set 8: Jabba's Court (2004): Careful Planning (V) for the Light Side and Combat Readiness (V) for the Dark Side. The printed Decipher cards under the slips, Careful Planning and Combat Readiness from Endor, are Used or Starting Interrupts. The slips drop the USED half and keep a single starting function:

"STARTING: If your starting location was a battleground site, ▼ up to two related locations (one must be a system) with < 4 total [Force icons] and up to three Effects that are always [Immune to Alter]. Place this Interrupt in Lost Pile."[1]

The ▼ shorthand means "deploy from Reserve Deck; reshuffle" (see Virtual card icons). The Used or Starting Interrupts on the same sheet are placed in hand or in the Reserve Deck after their starting use; these two go to the Lost Pile.

Later Virtual cards

The Players Committee kept the card type after the 2009 reorganisation. These later cards have the subtype Starting in GEMP:[2]

Card Side
Careful Planning (V) (Virtual Set 0) Light
Combat Readiness (V) (Virtual Set 0) Dark
According To My Design (Virtual Set 1) Dark
Slip Sliding Away (V) (Virtual Set 12) Dark
I Am Part Of The Living Force (Virtual Set 16) Light
Podrace Prep (V) (Virtual Set 27) Light
