Defensive Shields
These cards were posted as Defensive Shields outside the deck.
Four cards dashed under 'Fear Is May Ally' in the starting list: Resistance, You Cannot Hide Forever, Wipe Them Out, All Of Them, Secret Plans.
Notes
- Starting[6] = Prepared Defences (with An Entire Legion, Imperial Decree, Inconsequential Losses dashed under it), Hoth: Defensive Perimeter and Fear Is My Ally; the four cards dashed under FIMA are taken as its Defensive Shields (all four are Reflections III shields), giving 60.
- Original-era (V): Assault Rifle (V) (VS1); Stormtrooper (V) (VS2).
- Posted 'Crossfire' (under Effects) dested the Endor Effect, not the Reflections III shield; 'And Entire Legion' An Entire Legion Of My Best Troops; 'Hoth: Ice Planes' Hoth: Ice Plains (5th Marker).
Strategy
I built this deck back when Endor was released and I got An Entire Legion.
I just had to make a deck of unstopable morons!!
The idea is to drive stormtoopers at people in groups of 4 or so with 2 weapons to a group (or more) and get them to battle the "poor defenceless morons in white". Then when you get into a battle drop a Trooper Assault and a Blast Points and watch even the big hitters go down. [ever seen Obiwan shot with a blater rifle from a guy in a white suit?? I have =) ]
Drop stormtoops first turn to try and get a good foothold on the 3rd Marker, that way next turn you can drain for two, play a trooper or 2, and pick up a hand. Get the effects out whenever possible. The just add to the general madness that should be on the table by now.
The biggest thing I tried to get going with this deck is to control Hoth but at the same time there should be enough troopers on table in a few turns that you can start either moving them or laying them on whatever planet your opponent seems to think he is in control of. Start some trouble, remeber THESE ARE TROOPERS, THEY DIE. They should be better than most with the armor of 4 and such but don't worry if your battle group goes down, drain on hoth for a couple of turns and then drop a new raiding party.
Battle goes dwon like this, play a trooper assault to start off (so you don't have to look it up is a CC card that gives troopers +2 power and makes them immune to attrition) and then assuming you have a blaster present fire it kill something and play Blast Points to draw another destiny.
Vader is in the deck to give you a hard hitting main character that supports the little guys. (all the stormtoopers drop for free with him)
This deck controls with grey and runs on red! The effects let the troopers be beefy, and the interupts help even more. Speaking of interupts, use the Blasted Droids to clear out an area before doing battle, and the Abyssin Ornament brings back about 9-10 force (depending on the time it is used) when you start runing low.
the effects- AELOMBT starts it off and everything helps from there. Imperial Decree keeps people wierd enough to use Revloution in check and take away bonuses from other drain decks. Stategic Reserves is a nice defence against a drain deck that somehow escaped your grasp. and acadamy training and crossfire just add to the troopers. if you can get and hold the Rebel Base Occupation it just adds icing to the draining cake.
Rember the trooper assaults are used as are the blast points... make good use of that recursion.
The other point your all probably wondering about are the shields under Fear is my Ally. These are the best ones that I own, and they acctually fit the deck well in that they cover areas that the deck can't cover. i.e. this deck has met up to and stood it's ground against a light side insert thanks to Resistance and You Cannot Hide Forever. Wipe them out, all of them stops the "luke and han attack and draw 30 destiny cards" leveling the playing field for the troopers to be able to take on mains. Secret Plans stops or slows down those pesky light side retrival decks.
That's all for the troopers. If you need them you know where to look, just follow the white suits to Toopers Anonymous.
