Talk:Silver bullets

Missing data
- No Decipher internal design memo uses the phrase "silver bullet". Body uses the player's term from the 2026 Teching Overview and Path Unlike Any Other videos, and Colson's 2022 "Mother May I" / side-deck account.
- archive.org movie items
youtube-SSrxWXFMbYM,youtube-_WArG6IN520andyoutube-M4Kravau0aMwere not found (item cannot be found). Watch-page Wayback captures are the Preserved copies in the refs. - No dedicated Decipher counter to Hidden Weapons or Fallen Portal was found on the card pages besides Sense, matching the Teching Overview claim.
- Kiss A Wookiee has no wiki page. The Teching Overview names a Light counter to Rebel Barrier; Whisper heard "block store controls". Left out.
Possibly faulty data
- Auto-captions of Teching Overview at 01:15 give "It was implemented perfectly" and then list failures. Whisper of the same clip agrees. Body does not quote that line.
- Whisper of the Colson clip heard "nasty MPE"; the wiki transcript has the same. Body paraphrases as "every really nasty deck" and does not print NPE/MPE.
- Premiere / Death Star II starter-deck counts of three Grimtaash and three Monnok are only in the Teching Overview. Premiere Two-Player Introductory Game does not list those cards. Count omitted.
Marginal cuts
- 1999 tournament anecdote (Light Numbers / Dark Torture / Grimtaash on the Tortures) is a single unnamed event in the Teching Overview. Cut.
- Power Creep panel (M4Kravau0aM at 1:30:04, Wayback 20261016004541) calls Defensive Shields a fantastic sideboard for a one-game, one-hour tournament. Guests are Kendall Halman, Matt, Robbie and Charlie Hickey. Speaker at 1:29:52 is not identified from captions. Colson already covers the side-deck point. Cut.
- Wikipedia's Star Wars Customizable Card Game article uses "magic bullets" for the same design idea. Secondary; not used as body voice.
- Undercover-spy rabbit hole (Sniper, It's A Trap!, U-3PO, R-3PO, Restraining Bolt, Soren) is one example in the overview. Body keeps one sentence.
Build notes
- Quotes checked against faster-whisper
base.enint8 from ffmpeg float32 PCM, not raw auto-captions. Names and card titles taken from captions after Whisper confirmed meaning (Monnok/Grimtaash, Sense/Alter, Ounee Ta, Your Insight Serves You Well, Ralltiir Operations). - Teching Overview timestamps: definition 00:27, Monnok 01:35, Disarmed 02:42, Sense 05:42, immune-to-Sense opinion 07:00, Jedi Pack 07:40, grabbers 08:09, Control / Do Or Do Not 08:52, inserts 11:04, Insight Effects 13:19, Ounee Ta 15:05, cons 15:55, "more direct" 18:00.
- Path Unlike Any Other clip 15:44–16:54 (no ban list; insert / training / generic-site / Asteroid Sanctuary bullets).
- Colson 11:25–15:39 (no rotation, errata revenue, Mother May I, 60-card crowding, shields as side deck, "pretty in between solution", 2E work "became moot").
- Reflections III Rules Supplement (res.starwarsccg.org/rules/reflectionsiiirules.pdf, Wayback 20211005192128): Starting Effect as the one sacrificed slot; Gungan Warrior Shield icon; replica titles remain different types under unique/restricted.
- Jedi Pack Sense-tax cards are For Luck and Dark Forces (game text on those pages).
- Defensive Shields as a design-history topic live here, not on SWCCG 2nd Edition (Bill, 16 October 2026).
