Restraining Bolt is a Light Device from Premiere Limited.
Card Text
Deploy on any droid at any site. Droid cannot move and cannot utilize its 'game text.' During your deploy phase, Restraining Bolt may be transferred (for free) to another droid at same site.
Lore
Fits in a special socket on a droid's body. When installed, restricts actions of droids, forcing them to follow orders. Can be operated remotely by a 'caller.'
Rulings
- May not be deployed on an opponent's Undercover spy.
- The phase 'cannot utilize game text' means the droid's game text is canceled (e.g. the game text cancelation can be prevented by Pride Of The Empire (V), in which case the droid still cannot move).
- This device may only deploy on (or transfer to) a droid that is at a site.
- This device may even deploy an opponent's droid.
- The owner of the Restraining Bolt may transfer it to a droid present with it at a site, even an opponent's droid.
- If stolen by a non-droid character (e.g. using Swilla Corey), that character carries it but the Restraining Bolt is inactive while it is on a non-droid character. Even while stolen and inactive, the new owner may still transfer it (see above rulings for transfer details).
- If stolen by a droid character (e.g. using Retractable Arm), the droid character carrying the stolen Restraining Bolt is then affected by it (droid cannot move and droid's game text canceled. The new owner of the stolen Restraining Bolt may transfer it (see above rulings for transfer details).
