Premiere Two-Player Introductory Game is the third Star Wars CCG product, published in February 1996 by Decipher with Parker Brothers.[1] It contains six exclusive white-border premium cards (3 Light, 3 Dark), two 60-card preconstructed white-border decks, a rules booklet and one Premiere booster pack. Its MSRP was $19.95. The first ~50,000 boxes had a Limited Premiere pack; later boxes had Unlimited. Europe used a Waddingtons flip-top box, and Takara published a Japanese version.[2]

A Spanish-language rules booklet was prepared for a Spanish SWCCG release that was later cancelled; see Spanish Premiere Two-Player Game rules booklet and Translations of SWCCG. A German-language two-player rulebook printed by Modern Graphics is among the surviving artifacts of a planned German SWCCG release that was later cancelled; see Cancelled German release of SWCCG.

The rules booklet thanks Richard Borg "for rogue design in an elegant system".[3]

According to former Decipher volunteer Jim Colson, the packaging was the same everywhere, but the booster packs inside depended on where the box was sold. Copies sold through Kmart and Walmart held white-border packs; copies sold through hobby shops held black-border packs.[5] Decipher advertised the game on television with the tagline "The galaxy in a box".[6]

The card list below covers the six exclusive premiums; the randomized Premiere booster in the box is a reprint.
