Joe Boulden was a Decipher digital artist and the 3D project manager of the Jedi Knights Trading Card Game (2001), coordinating the Art Department's work on it. He found 3D modelers who had made Star Wars fan art, in eleven countries, and Decipher bought and enhanced their models.[1][2][3] In 1996 InQuest described him retouching film frames for Star Wars CCG cards and pictured him with a set of press sheets.[4] In 2002 he explained in Star Trek Communicator how Decipher's art department turned film frames into Star Trek CCG card images.[5]
The credits page of the Premiere Two-Player Introductory Game rules booklet (1995) thanks Joe Boulden "for hours of retouching, stroke by stroke".[6]
