Strategy
I have just decided to get back into the game, after letting it gather dust when I left for college, four years ago. (Jabba’s Palace just came out) I started picking up cards on eBay this past summer. I am going to start posting some decks and try to get feedback on where they can be tuned/tweaked/scrapped. I have all cards up to SE, most of Tatooine and Theed Palace, a few from Endor, DS2, and none of EPP and Coruscant.
Thanks!
The main goal of this deck is to get Lando safely to the Casino and let him play cards. I typically do this by pulling CC: Security Tower, Aurra Sing, and ZiMH with my starting interrupt. (Is it legal to pull ZiMH with it?) With Secret Plans on the table, I can search through my reserve deck, usually without letting the opponent verify and find my third CC site to get DD up and running. I would like to include DS Lobot, but I don't have him so Barquin is my gambler backup. (I feel he has a stronger standalone game text compared to Watto-any other DS gamblers?) The Dark Jedi Saber lets me use it on a variety of characters (it was that or Maul's single saber). My favorite thing to do is play Sabacc during my battle phase- it drains the opponent's reserve deck and lets my Trinto's be even more damaging. I'm thinking of putting in Bad Feeling Have I and His Name Is Anakin to make the opponent have a tendency to over-activate to make the Sabacc more painful. Expand The Empire gives me some options regarding where to play Sabacc. Other things I would like to add: Obsidian 8 and OS-71-2 in Ob. 2. The other thing I am concerned about is the anti-Sabacc defensive shield. Is there any way around that, or do I need to find a better retrieval strategy?
Let me know what you think!
EDIT:
Cam, I considered putting in I'm Sorry, but did not since I already have two CC locations from the start with Any Methods Necesary. I don't have CC Occupation as of yet, but when I do get it I plan on incorporating it and I'm Sorry and scrapping the Sabacc retrieval, since holding Bespin should not be a problem.
Revelation, again, please read my strategy section. I mention the the Sabacc Def Shield and am trying to see if you think it is viable at all with that card in play.
