Strategy
So, I'm perusing the Premiere card list, looking for a card to write an extra for, and I happen upon one of my favorite characters since the game was released: Djas Puhr...and I realize that nobody's bothered to write an extra for him! Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. The Sakiyan bounty hunter is an underused powerhouse, for fairly obvious reasons. Ability = 4 is one big reason: any card that draws battle destiny on its own speaks for itself. Add to that Puhr's immunity to attrition < 3, and you've got a guy who can draw his own destiny AND potentially avoid falling victim to the attrition of his enemies. Can you think of any other characters with such abilities? Do the names Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Princess Leia ring a bell?
Djas does appear to have one glaring weakness upon first glance: Power = 1, but take another look at his game text: Power +1 for each DS icon present, +2 under "nighttime conditions." Ouch...drop Puhr at any DS location with two DS icons, and he's Power = 3. Add a Presence Of The Force, and he's Power = 4. Make that DS location the Cantina, and he's Power = 5. Play Sunsdown on Tatooine...forget about it...Power = 8...my man is ragin': "The Cantina is MY house!!!"
But it doesn't end there: this guy is rife with combo potential. Let's go back to his Ability = 4. Not only can he utilize the Dark Jedi abilities of Sense and Alter with some proficiency, but also: can you say, "Weapon Levitation?" That's right: "I'll take that lightsaber, Mr. Kenobi." What's that? You say you don't use Weapon Levitation? (Well, you should!) Just give Djas (a warrior, by the way) his own Dark Jedi Lightsaber...only 3 Force to deploy and target (much less than most DS characters), and he has as much chance to hit Rebels and their co-conspirators as Lord Vader himself. The lightsaber combos that follow go without saying (All Too Easy, Disarmed, You Are Beaten, etc., etc.).
Also, want to add a little extra attrition to your damage with Puhr? Try Res Luk Ra'auf, adding a battle destiny for a bounty hunter defending alone, giving Djas and his Ability = 4 not one, but TWO battle destiny draws. This list goes on, but you get the picture...Djas Puhr, Sakiyan bounty hunter, ROCKS. He is a must in most DS ground decks and can really show his stuff when the LS spreads their forces thin to force drain and leaves characters with less than Ability = 4 at a site. Next time you need some hired ground muscle (and one heck of a tracker), call on Puhr.
Combos:
Djas + Cantina + Presence Of The Force = Power of 5, Immunity to Attrition < 3, and a destiny draw.
Djas + Weapon Levitation = one less unique LS lightsaber to worry about...and one more for you to USE.
Djas + Res Luk Ra'auf = 2 battle destiny.
Djas + Dark Jedi Lightsaber = BACK OFF!!!
