Reflections Booster Draft
Reflections Booster Draft is a booster draft format played with Reflections packs. Decipher ran it as a sanctioned side event at DecipherCon 2000 and defined a Reflections II Booster Draft for Reflections II packs in 2001; the Players Committee's Alternate Format Tournament Guide (revised September 2015) keeps a Reflections Booster Draft with Reflections, Reflections II or Reflections III boosters.[1][2][3]
- Type: booster draft

- GEMP: none. Reflections Sealed on play.swccg.com is a sealed (not drafted) Reflections league.
Card pool
Decipher (2000)
"Players will be seated into groups of 4, with each player receiving 3 Star Wars Reflections boosters and either a Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker Enhanced Premiere pack to draft the best decks possible. Will you draft the foil, or let it go?"[1]
Decipher's Reflections II Booster Draft Format page was linked from its 2001 tournament resources, but every preserved capture of that page (reflections2.asp, 2002–2003) is an error page.[2][5] The rules survive on Decipher's Reflections II expansion page (January 2001): 4 packs of Reflections II per player, any 6 battleground locations brought by each player, and 40-card decks built in 10 minutes. They are on Reflections II Booster Draft.[6]
For its Reflections III pre-release weekend (27–28 October 2001, eight tournaments in North America) Decipher used the same draft with Reflections III packs: "This will be a sealed deck 'booster draft' format tournament. Each player will get four booster packs of Reflections III to draft. Players will be allowed to bring six battleground locations for each side of the force. These battlegrounds can only be from Tatooine, Naboo, or Coruscant."[7]
Players Committee (2007–2015)
The Players Committee's Official SW: CCG Tournament Guide of 2007 and 2008 lists two separate formats. Reflections II Booster Draft uses 4 Reflections II booster packs and six battleground locations. Reflections III Booster Draft uses 4 Reflections III booster packs, and "Each player may bring with him six Tatooine, Coruscant and/or Naboo battleground locations that may be included in the player's deck."[8][9]
The Alternate Format Tournament Guide requires 4 Reflections, Reflections II or Reflections III booster packs per player, played under its Booster Draft rules. "Each player may bring with them six battleground locations that may be included in the player's deck. The Tournament Director should verify these locations' status as battlegrounds prior to beginning the tournament."[3] Under those rules players draft in groups of 4 or 6, Light and Dark seated alternately, and take one card of their own side from each pack and pass. The guide does not give a deck size for this format; deck building time is 10 minutes for 40-card decks and 20 minutes for 60-card decks.[3] Its list of sealed formats names the format as Reflections II Booster Draft and Reflections III Booster Draft.[3]
History
At DecipherCon 2000 Decipher scheduled the Reflections Booster Draft on Thursday 5 October at 6 p.m. (event #SW213) and Friday 6 October at 9 a.m. (event #SW221), four games each, entry $20, sanctioned.[1][4]
Decipher introduced a Reflections II Booster Draft when Reflections II was released in January 2001, and in 2001, and again in August 2002, its Star Wars tournament resources page linked a "Reflections II Booster Draft Format" among its format notes.[6][2][5] Decipher's Reflections III pre-release weekend of October 2001 was a four-pack Reflections III booster draft.[7] The Players Committee listed Reflections II and Reflections III booster drafts separately in 2007 and 2008, and combined them as Reflections Booster Draft in its 2015 guide.[8][9][3] No event in the Players Committee format is recorded on this wiki.
