Reflections Sealed
Reflections Sealed is a sealed league format on GEMP built from Reflections and Reflections II boosters. Its format definition uses the same set list as Open.[1][2][3] GEMP's sealed league type Reflections Sealed uses this format.[4]
- Type: sealed deck (GEMP sealed league)
- Defined by: play.swccg.com format; league type from the Players Committee GEMP
- Card pool: Reflections and Reflections II boosters plus random locations, 40-card decks
- In use: unknown
- GEMP: Reflections Sealed (
reflections_sealed) on play.swccg.com; on the Players Committee GEMP the league type Reflections Sealed is played under the generic Sealed format[5]
Card pool
Players build decks from the product their sealed league gives them. A league has two series; a player who joins gets the product of every series that has started, and every player gets each later series' product when it starts.[6][7]
On play.swccg.com the league issues:[7]
- Series 1: 8 Reflections Booster Packs and 8 Reflections II Booster Packs, 2 fixed cards (Dark Side Twi'lek Advisor, Light Side The Signal), and one random card from each of four location pools: Dark Side sites (10), Dark Side systems (12), Light Side sites (13) and Light Side systems (13).[7][8]
- Series 2: 2 Reflections Booster Packs and 2 Reflections II Booster Packs.[7]
A Reflections Booster Pack holds 17 cards from earlier sets plus 1 foil; a Reflections II Booster Pack holds 15 cards from earlier sets, a foil, a combo card and an Expanded Universe card.[9][10] The Players Committee code's location pools also include 13 Episode I locations, which play.swccg.com leaves out.[7][11] The location lists are at GEMP sealed league products.
The format definition uses the same set list as Open, so the product limits the pool. It sets a deck size of 40 cards and marks the format as not a game hall format, so it is played through its league rather than at open tables.[1][2][3]
Special rule
The GEMP format definitions list this special rule:[1][12]
- Once per game, a player may ▼ a unique battleground not already on table.
History
The league type comes from the Players Committee GEMP code, which plays it under the generic Sealed format; play.swccg.com gave it its own format with the same name.[5][13][1]
Decipher's DecipherCon 2000 schedule had several Reflections Sealed Booster Draft events.[14] The Players Committee's Alternate Format Tournament Guide lists a paper Reflections Booster Draft with four Reflections, Reflections II or Reflections III boosters, in which each player may bring six battleground locations for the deck.[15] No source links the GEMP league to these events, and no league result in this format is recorded.
Tournaments
No tournament on List of SWCCG tournaments is recorded in this format yet. Events are added here when their page gives this format.
