Notable changes to the structure of the Players Committee (PC): its teams, committees and chart.

  • 2002–2003. Besides the Advocates, the early swccgpc.com had a Staff Writer, Duane Bruun (Shadow 47),[2][3] and a Championship Circuit Assistant, Nick Kolnik (April 2003).[4] The Advocate Council page of April 2003 gives short biographies and names the subcommittees: Jim Colson ("40 something", Huntsville, Alabama), Shadow Squadron Leader; Andrew Howard (19, Chicago), in charge of the Classic Format Subcommittee; Eric Olson (26, Chicago), manager of the Q&A Subcommittee that proofread the virtual cards; Josh Radke (23, Bristol, Connecticut); Jason Robinette (31, New York), head of the Young Jedi Design Subcommittee; and Doug Taylor (37, Seattle), head of the Proofreading and Public Relations subcommittees and liaison with Scrye magazine.[5]
  • June 2003. Because Decipher was changing its tournament and ranking software, the PC forms a tournament-software subcommittee with Eric Olson and Andrew Howard as project managers; meanwhile tournament directors are asked to register a credit card with Decipher.[6]
  • 19 April – 19 May 2004. The Flight Leader program is announced on 19 April 2004, and the first Flight Leaders are named on 19 May 2004; Josh Radke becomes the first Kashyyyk Flight Leader.[7] The Shadow Squadron page of June 2004 lists the regions and their Flight Leaders (see SWCCG regions).[8]
  • June 2004. A WebGroup is formed to coordinate the PC website: webmaster Keith Allen, with Jason Robinette, David Destefanis, John Davis, Kevin Brownell and Nick Kolnik.[9]
  • May 2006. The Shadow Squadron is the PC's marketing arm. A Proofreading Subcommittee and a Public Relations Subcommittee are headed by Doug Taylor, and a Young Jedi Design Subcommittee by Jason Robinette.[10]
  • March 2008. A League program is announced on 19 March 2008: leagues run one qualifying event a month from April to August 2008, and each league champion receives a Day 2 bye; the PC League Coordinator is Evan Fitzgerald.[11] On 28 March 2008 Michael Erisman thanks the Tournament Committee for its update of the Tournament Guidelines.[12]
  • July 2008. The PC announces the first Worldwide SWCCG Day for 26 July 2008, coordinated by Cedric (simone89), who also coordinates the 2008 Canada Nationals.[13][14]
  • September 2008. Regional Flight Leaders (tournament contacts) and Key Volunteers who lead teams are listed beside the Advocate Council: Website Admin, Moderators, Watto's Cube Team, Player Created Card Team, Proofreading, Graphic Design, Rules Moderators, Competitive Balance Team, Star Wars Information Pool and Tournament Committee.[15]
  • July 2009. The Volunteer page, now on starwarsccg.org, adds a Premium Member Admin and announces two Flight Leaders per region.[16]
  • June 2018. The PC takes over GEMP from its creator, Troy Biesterfeld, and invites applications for a development team. A new Multimedia and Special Projects Advocate leads the team.[17]
  • July 2018. Design opens applications for the Design and Development team and the Player Card Development team.[18]
  • December 2020. The Jawa Council (Kendall Halman, Eric Hunter and Bill Kafer) updates the banned list of the Jawa Format, an alternative format on GEMP.[19]
  • January 2021. The PC publishes an organization chart under About Us, to be updated every couple of months.[20] The chart of 14 February 2021 shows Legal and PC Store Manager beside the Lead Advocate.[21]
  • March 2021. The Competitive Balance Team is announced: 11 members chaired by Jarad Konsker, including several advocates.[22]
  • July 2021. A redesigned chart groups the volunteer teams under labeled sub-teams: GEMP Slicers, Proofing, Playtesting, Player Card Development, Graphics, Competitive Balance Team and Design & Development.[1]
  • May 2024. The Technology team moves under the Rules Advocate, and the new Production Advocate heads Player Card Development and Graphics. The Outreach Team, Stream Team, Decklist Scribe Team and Design Pods are new to the chart.[23]
