Troy Biesterfeld (forums handle tbiesty) forked Star Wars CCG from GEMP.[1] Marcin Sciesinski created the GEMP engine in 2011.[2] Holotable was the earlier downloaded tabletop many players used. In June 2018 he stepped away, and the Players Committee took over management.[3] The Community Card lists him as a 2017 Advocate Award winner, "Creator of GEMP".[4]
