The 2005 World Championship was the 10th Star Wars CCG World Championship, run by the Players Committee at Gen Con in Indianapolis, Indiana.[2] Drew Scott, the eighth seed of the top 8, defeated James Booker in the final.[2][3] Scott's published lists are a Day 3 Dark Hunt Down And Destroy The Jedi deck and Day 2 Bring Him Before Me and Mind What You Have Learned decks. The Players Committee's qualifier listing dates the World Championship 20 August 2005, at Gen Con.[1] A day-by-day schedule and the field size have not been found.

The constructed pool was printed Decipher cards through Theed Palace plus the original Players Committee Virtual Sets then legal. The wiki files it under Premiere - Original VS6, from the newest virtual cards in the published lists; a numbered cutoff for the event has not been confirmed.

Qualifying

The Players Committee's Road to Worlds 2005 ran Regionals from mid-October 2004 to January 2005 (two Day 2 byes each), States and Provincials from April to July 2005 (one bye), Mini-Opens (one bye), Opens and Nationals (two byes), and Last Chance Qualifiers in August (one bye); Worlds itself had two Day 1 heats, and the winner was to receive $1,000. A new rule said that tournament directors could not play in their own qualifier.[5]

The Committee's "SWCCG 2005 Worlds Qualifiers Listing" (last updated 27 June 2005; captured 28 August 2005) lists every Day 2 bye. An asterisk marks a player who "won opportunity to design a virtual card". The listing gives the bye holders, not always the winners: when a winner already held a bye, the bye passed down (at the 2005 Tennessee States, Danny Pack won but already held the Alabama bye, so runner-up Micah Wooten took it).[1][6]
