  • Description: Luke-may the force be with you- You too. This is the deck that I got 2nd at MN states with (and went 2-2. 4+22 at worlds day 2, losing to Chu by 15 and Pistone by 2.)it is in semi retirement, as I am playing other things, but i think it is still a g

Strategy

ALL RIGHT_FIRST OFF I FORGOT TO LIST KESSEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this was meant to be posted as an advanced deck, but as usual i forgot that beginner was the default setting. Rather than reposting it, I'll leave as is, because it is legible and the darn thing took so long to type up. don't be a moron and let that affect youur judgements. I think I will puke the next time i hear someone say " -1 star for putting it as a beginner deck"

and it is one card over, but that is just because i always take one out befor i play a tournament based upon my guess of what i expect.

So, the strat is this-Set up quick at kessel with Han. falcon Artoo first turn usuall, then luke to the cantina second Meese/C/TV makes this easy to set up), shut down force loss, using fades, honor, we're doomed and the various bullet cards, and whatever you do lose retrieve.... never think the game is over becacause of we're doomed, and if they don't grab something else, chances are you've exploited them with something else so much that this card doesn't even come into play)then kessel run. The only real damage you will do to your opponent is 3 a turn at kessel and the cantina with Luke, and possibly a bit of Direct damage with Legendary and Leebo. I will be the first to admit this deck is extremely difficult to play well, because of the endless possibilities and the responsive style of this deck. The key IS SHUTTING DOWN FORCE LOSS in various ways, like menace fades, honor, and We're doomed, while training yourself to understand how to get any card you want in this deck in one or two turns with C/TV HDWGITM. Like for instance, if you can't get a t-47 battle formation in your hand in the first three turns ALMOST EVERY TIME, then this is not the deck for you. If you CAN, this is the type of deck that in your hands will be endless frustration for your opponent. Not to mention it will confuse the heck out of your opponent, who will see a sure victory turn into a 35 card loss. This deck just REFUSES TO DIE. I have retrieved as much as 40 force in one game, and in that game retrieved 11 3 straight turns. Once, after getting my opponent to pull all his shields (which is definitely something to consciously get your opponent to do), i retrieved 22 force in one keesel run, start to finish in one turn. You deploy Kessel run targeting Melas, fly him in the some ship with R2-d2 straight from corellia to kessel, ship dock him onto the Pulsar Skate along with artoo, add his ability to X, double X with R Ryjerd V. That's 2(7+4)=22. Then fly him back IN THE SAME TURN!

We're doomed-when you get down in life force, or (chuckle) draw up a monster hand to only have 14 life force (WHICH YOU CAN PUT BACK TO DRAW ONE CARD WITH HDWGITM AT THE END OF THE GAME), you play this after they grabbed one of your zillion interrupts that you have already played. Then cut all damage in half rounding down for r2. For example. Dark Deal. They have deal out AND occupation. You have menace fades satisfied as well as we're doomed, and have cancelled occupation. They drain once for 1. (as they get 1st action of their control phase), then all their drains of 3 are reduced to 1 with fades, cut in half to .5, then rounded down to........ ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are plenty of little things like this hidden amongst this deck, and i am sure you can invent them with each new game and matchup you find, because all the defensive tools to combat ANYTHING are found in this deck.

Vs deal- Set Up Fades.kessel run... Look for lando w/gun. Attack with ships only when neccesary. cancel occupation. If he grabs Free ride combo, then you play we're doomed the rest of the game.. If he doesn't, cancel occupation again. Shouldn't even get to the point of were doomed then.

LSC-Set up in space and then flip, then drop luke to the core.. don't battle.... Use mess of TV or whatever to find Luke's back V.... Try not to look too happy when you win every combat, then SATM his jedi.

VS. Senate.... Drop a puny ship.... Let him shoot his gun... Let him get rid of the 7 on his fish. then set up kessel runs with his no hyperspeed ships sitting somewhere else with han and artoo/DLS, and set up luke over and over on the ground.... Satm/Bpro is your friend:) so is fallen portal. this game is one you have to really feel out... Cancel the drain canceller, then drain so he cant first strike, then cancel the destiny adder, so he will have trouble cracking the 7 immunity that luke and your ships have. n Very winnable, but you have to be on your toes.

VS.Walkers

I love this matchup.... Ignore him-hje won't be used to that. Get out honor.... Get T-47 (this is where the gearing of the deck to get any card in hand quick helps)Grab W.Garrison (cause he most likely wont have the other in hand) get him to grab something dumb. then play were doomed as you kessel run all day...

Win by a lot.

CCT use chewie on the falcon, then go about your business. han and lando missing are not that bif of a deal.

vs huntdown- if it is dueling, try to hide the smile on your face as you stare at luke's back V.. Set up in space, flip, thn drop luke in front of Vader... (Pull affect min first) cancel all but the one combat card draw, then subtract 3. win by an obscene amount, then vader is OOP, and you will win by a lot....

The womprat tech Huntdown is the hardest matchup for this deck.... If you know haw to beat it with this deck LMK....

As far as traditional Huntdown, let him come to the ground first, set up luke elsewhere, and then dominate in space. Hope you like it.....

WYS Kessel Running Start (9) Watch Your Step/TPIGALR HFTMF Cell 2187 V Get To Your Ships (because it is the same as squassin, but there are some people in the world who don't know what it does, not many, but what the heck) Menace Fades (usually-see effect section) AUOOF +10 Tatooine Cantina Tat DB Charachters 3x Luke JK Cap'n Han Lando W/Gun Chewie w/Gun (no upkeep, great trackable destiny in this deck so i actually can hit stuff with his gun, and he is a backup for the falcon in a pinch) Mirax Terrik Wedge Antilles Dash Rendar Leebo (backup for Artoo's hyperdrive capabilities, matching pilot for Outrider, Direct Damage, smuggler) R. Ryjerd V (doubles and pulls Kessel Run) 2x Melas(anti maul/zimh) R2 D2 V (adds three to hyperspeed, allowing 1 turn kessel runs w/ship-docking) Weapons 2x Luke's sitck (very important, as luke is like the only solid ground charachter in this deck) Ships (3)-(it may seem few, but you just retrieve wahtever you lose anyways, and all of em can hold 2 pilots, adding a dsetiny. they all become system holding machines and they are easy to pull) Millenium Falcon Pulsar Skate Outrider Locations Corellia (parsec 1) JCChamber (pay for kessel run) Admirals Orders I'll Take the leader Interrupts 2x Control & TV 2x Luke's Back V (IMO, the most underrated card in the game. if you do not know EVERTYTHING this card does, look it up.) Hyper Escape (can you think of anything funnier happening in a game than keesel running to complete a Kessel Run?) 2x Fallen Portal (if they are playing heavy ground attacking forces, move luke to the DB, and play these) 3x How Did We Get Into This Mess (hand Control & tracking setup) We're doomed (if they don't grab anything else, they will be in trouble with the wide arrange ment of int's. If they do grab something else, this card will shut them down in the end. with menace fades and this,. For instance, you can limit a deal deck with dealand CC occupation out to 4 damage a turn) t-47 battle Formation (cancel Garrison.....twice) Speak WTJC Inconsequential Barriers (because chu showed me at worlds it is a good idea to be able to cancel set for stun) Free Ride and Endor Celebration SATM & BPro Run, Monster Luke, Run A few Maneuvers 2x AWRI & Darklighter spin (with my maneuver 11 Falcon) Escape Pod V houjix Effects (7) Honor Scrambled Transmission V (start against Senate) 3x Kessel Run (with R. Ryjerd and Melas on Pulsar skate, you can retrieve as much as 22 in one turn, by ship docking Melas and r2) Legendary starfighter Civil Disorder V (start against LSC)
