Strategy[edit]

Pre-First Turn:

Before you activate your first force, grab the Executer using Mob Points. If you have it in your hand then grab Rendilli. Thats all you basically have for initial setup.

First Turn:

Grab Watto from the reserve. If you have Watto in your hand still pull him from the reserve. You do this for two reasons, if in the future they pay the eight force to put Watto in your used pile you can deploy the one from hand on your next turn and not lose any turns of doing Watto damage. It also gets Watto out of the reserve so that you don't draw him up in your future turns.

Put your wimpiest wimp at Mos Espa to get the flip. Preferably this is one of the battle droids or Gragra. Pull Watto's Chance Cube from reserve.

Now put one card in your used pile from hand to activate your objective. Don't put Watto's Chance Cube in there right away. Do you have multiple Emperors in your hand? Put one back. A Masterful Move? Put that back. If all you have is characters than put Watto's Chance Cube in the used pile to use your objective and make them lose two. Draw up as much as possible.

Opponent's first turn:

Activate for Wipe Them Out. This card is your extra site and if you forget it, it is just like activating too little during your activate phase. When was the last time you did that? So don't forget to activate here.

Second turn to Mid-Game:

Setup at Mos-Espa and the Junkyard. Watto is a defensive deck so you need to hold these two sites. Keep doing Watto damage. Drain as much as possible even if you have to pay three for a drain of one that they might cancel. You want to do as much damage as possible.

This is when they will start attacking your sites with their mains. Luke w saber, Qui-Gon w saber, and Obi w saber are going to be visiting you. Use barriers to make them stop. Use Bad Feeling Have I, Gragra, and the Battle Droids to make them deploy for tons. Use Gammal Wirronic so that you don't have Watto get chopped. Use Ig-88 to capture them if you can stack a six on Colo.

How your opponent will play your objective:

There are three things you opponent can do. 1. If your opponent pays eight to send Watto to your used then you need to draw to get Watto and start saving four force to retrieve four. If they are doing this then they pretty much don't have any other force to work with on their turn. In essence you get a free turn.

2. If they start paying two and letting you have free characters then you have to work differently. Once they start saving two force, you should be putting some high-destiny wimps down with your objective so that you don't lose the force from your own objective; i.e cards like the battle droids, Stormtrooper Garrison, Blizzard 4 to keep your destiny high. Hold on to Maul and the Executer. If they just start paying two every time(more than twice consecutively) then you can put them down and see if you get free big cards. However, most people will switch it up and you might just put a card you need to fight back into your used.

3. If they just keep losing two force then you are doing great. Recycle high destiny interrupts whenever they have less than two force saved but never if they save two.

End Game: Watto objective does lots of early damage and that usually equals a quick game. At the end game yoy have recycled high destinies into your reserve and used Colo to also give yourself higher destinies. You have fighting characters in your hand and should have a nice defence force at Mos Espa and the Junkyard. Here is where you would put Zuckuss down at Rendilli if you are sure he is going to be safe. Don't do it much earlier.

Match-Ups:

WYS. Auto-win. Put the Emperor at Mos Espa. Deploy His Name Is Anakin to make their smugglers huge. Deploy Grotto at their DB for a nice drain. Generally beat them off the Tattoine sites and when they have lost enough of their ships to Watto damage then deploy the Executer up to the system.

Senators. Early Watto damage should help you in this match up. You might get some important senators, a political effect or two, or maybe some of thier mains. Keep hammering them with Watto damage. Watch out for Sense/ Alter. Watch for them to lose two Han Chewie + Falcons or the Spiral. Once they lose that deploy Zuckuss at Rendilli.

Lightsaber Combat:

Set up Watto damage and you can even use the Emperor at Mos Espa but he won't get to drain there. Deploy the anti-Jedi droid at their drain three site and barrier the jedi when they try to deploy at the other site and move over. You get a drain of three in for at least one turn. Your Watto damage will give you the win. However, they may start saving and paying two every turn not fearing a beat down. In this case put some big guns at their sites, Stormtrooper Garrison, Xizor, Guri, etc and then battle every turn. Make him Dodge or Blast the Door Kid and then move. Next turn battle again until they run out of evasion cards. Then you have power 20+ to Qui-Gons 7? Hmmm who is gonna win that? Watch out for Sense/ Alter.

EBO and HB:

Do people play these decks? Well just in case they do you get the upper hand with Watto damage. Pay to drain at every site you control. Do as much early damage as possible. You might get a system they need or a necessary card.

Questions:

Two Bad Feeling Have I? Two No Escape? Yeah that isn't card efficient but I don't like paying three force to look when I need to pay three to drain and really need to draw. Plus Senate may pull Honor so you need No Escape asap and a lot of decks use the spaceport DB.

Why so many Wattos? Watto is going to die in a lot of your games. Also, the LS player can pay 8 force to put him back in your used pile and then your objective just sits there looking stupid. You need to have enough Wattos in your deck so that if you lose one you can easily replace him. Now that means at minimum three Wattos but even that caused me to sit with my objective on the zero side for some games. However I think 4 Watto's is a little too much deck space taken up by that dumb guy.

Why so many Emperors? Six destiny character that can sit at Mos Espa and be relatively safe. Versus WYS he never dies. You can also recycle copies of him with the objective to get some high destinies back into your reserve. Plus you can stack him on Colo Claw Fish.

What can I screw up with this deck? You can forget Wipe Them Out, All of Them activation. That would really hurt. You can forget to use your objective. That makes your whole game plan useless. You can forget to pull the Executer first turn. Well this isn't that bad because you can recover from it.

Deck Genesis:

This deck was originally an Iowan creation. One of the Iowa players left their deck at the regional and I picked it up. I looked through it and saw that it had podracing and a bad character mix. So I took it all apart and then combined it into what you see here. Part of the credit for the deck design goes to the Iowa player who forgot his deck.

Any comments or concerns? Let me know.

Check out my WYS deck as well.
