Introduction

Here's the surprising thing about this unusual R2-D2 deck: IT WORKS! I have so far been unable to encounter a site I can't control with the reckless little guy! The deck posted is for classic format. I updated the list and included an Anakin's Lightsaber which will help win the drain game a little better when playing against an all-space deck. Thanks for all the great ideas!

Strategy

Look ma, no objective! I realize that the deck is a bit different, but the strategy is not all that alien. First turn, pull and deploy R2 for free (hopefully to an opponent's site). Try and equip him with whatever you can: Extingushers or Hero. If you don't get Hero or any extingushers, you can deploy Hero and be delayed one turn using Wokling, but that's really not that big of a deal. Next, deploy Han and his Heavy Blaster or another character and use Sorry About the Mess. After a while, the opponent will be wound down at the site(s). He won't be able to attack. You'll be retrieving the Extingushers with Baragwin and shooting his characters, stopping his adjacent force drains with Harc Seff, and slowing his force production with Frozen Assets and Treva Horme. But if your opponent does decide to play a space only deck, you do have another option: Stay at Cloud City and Retrieve force with Off The Edge, Baragwin, D'An and do some slow draining (Obi's Lightsaber comes in handy there). Stop his overwhelming space control with Battle Plan, Treva Horme, and Wars Not Make One Great.

The reason a deck like this hasn't worked well in the past is because it takes so much to control one small area, but now with virtual Han, Cell 2187, and Virtual (cheap deploy) R2- it's a walk in the park. Definitely the most fun deck I've built so far and I would recommend everyone to try it out!
