Strategy
the deck is fairly straight forward. play reactively. if your opponent goes to ground to drain, set up rendili with a potf on it, and hold the blockade flagship: db with another potf. if they're foolish enough to try to stop your docking bay drain, barrier whomever is the biggest threat, then come down on them on your turn with everything you've got. this deck has the capability to activate 16 force per turn (and that's assuming your opponent gives you no force icons). it's not hard to save up and drop beats.
space decks are easier to beat on. they'll need a battleground site to get around battle order, so they'll drop a couple characters somewhere. you drop blast door controls so they can't barrier anyone, and come down hard. here's a rundown of your first couple turns:
first turn: before you activate any force, use mob points to get either rendili or executor (i favor rendili for the early force generation and guaranteed battleground system). this ensures that you get some use out of mob points before they pull out their don't do that again shield. if they're starting don't do that again (effect), well, you're kind of out of luck there. activate your force, then go digging for a docking bay. look around for the holotable and the war room while you're fishing around in your deck. if the war room is in there, get it with your objective. if the holotable is in there and you've got a masterful move in hand, go get it. lots of early force generation is fun! draw a few cards and wait to see what the opponent does.
second turn: activate, get a docking bay, blah blah boring stuff. if the opponent was foolish enough to drop someone at a battleground site this early, drop a couple characters on them. this works especially well with blast door controls, so they can't play barrier (come to think of it, i should work another one into the deck). pop the grabber shield if you suspect any kind of battle evasion, so you can grab it early.
here's something fun to do in the first couple turns: drop blizzard 4, get vader for free, and add broken fett against a lone character or two. use crush to get i have you now, if they've got a rebel. you should have enough force to do this by turn 3 at the latest, since it will only cost 10 to deploy the beat crew and 1 to initiate battle. viola! early force loss to throw them off their game.
this deck is crazy fun. just remember to watch how they play the first few turns, and go off that. play smart and you win big. any questions about the deck, email me BEFORE you review.
