Decklist
Strategy
This is a basic Flipping SYCFA deck with Big Blue that is dangerous even if you can’t flip. I have also included enough other characters to cause damage on the ground. I have only played one game with this deck, and beat Michael Raveling with it (without flipping).
Cards I would like to add:
Admiral Chirneau
more Imperial Commands
Battle Order Defensive Shield
Maul’s Double Saber
Saber 1
Baron Fel
Here is the strategy behind some of my card choices.
Ephant Mon: Put him in the Death Star Conference Room with the Gunners. You will add five to the total of CPI (2 from each gunner and one from your text on the Conference Room) and your opponent’s spies will not be able to drop in unannounced.
Put All Sections On Alert: A recycling six that allows you to recover lost gunners and Death Star sites with its lost function. This also can help you defend your Death Star sites.
Basic gameplay:
Early Game:
Use AMVCO and your objective to pull CPI and a gunner first turn and deploy him. During your second turn, put him in the used pile to grab the Superlaser, then grab your other gunner. Move the Death Star to parsec 1. On your third turn, make sure both gunners and as many Death Star locations as you can are out, then move the Death Star to Alderaan. On your fourth turn, if you have a destiny tracked or plenty of sites out, blow up Alderaan.
Mid Game:
Once you are flipped, start deploying Star Destroyers and high drain systems. Start moving the Death Star towards Hoth and kill Obi-Wan if he is out. Once Obi-Wan is dead, drop ADLR on Hoth and blow it away to seriously Force choke your opponent. Drop the Interceptors to defend the Death Star.
End Game:
By Now, you should be draining for four a turn at each of your remaining systems plus at least one at the docking bay and whatever you are draining for at any of your opponent’s sites. If your opponent goes after you in space, use the bounty hunter ships to assist your SDs.
Match-ups:
Profit: Drop Arica and Aurra at the audience chamber while sticking to your own game plan. If your opponent invades the Death Star, use your Jedi and destroyer droids to force your opponent’s characters back.
LSC: Put out the Anti-Combat shield ASAP. Get your Jedi down after you get them, and use them and the Garrison to hurt your opponent’s characters while dominating in space.
EBO: Hold on in space and destroy Hoth before Alderaan. Don’t bother waiting for ADLR.
MBO: This is probably the toughest match-up for my deck. Go after Yavin 4 immediately and try to destroy it before your opponent flips. Keep a tight guard of Interceptors around the eath Star. Even if it is destroyed, you have enough power to hurt your opponent.
