Deck info[edit]

Introduction[edit]

The single quickest LS deck ever created is the CZ-3 ambush deck. This is my version of it, here for your viewing pleasure. You can rate it badly if you want, but you'd be REALLY wrong if you did. This deck can easily kill the opponent on his first turn if you get a good opening hand.

Strategy[edit]

Use Yavin 4: Massasi Throne Room as your starting site, which will allow you to go first in the game. Then use Careful Planning as your starting interrupt to put out <>Jungle and <>Farm. This means that on your first turn, before the Dark Side even gets to go, you will have 5 force to play with.

The basic strategy is to deploy a CZ-3 to a site, then a Rebel Guard. Always try to keep at least 2 force in your force pile after your turn ends, also. When your opponent initiates a battle against you, immediately play Don't Underestimate Our Chances. Next, use Careful Planning to draw a destiny and activate that much force. Next, if you're indoors and the opponent has a character of ability 2 or less as well as any characters of ability greater than 2, use Blast The Door, Kid! to exlude the big boys from the battle. Then use CZ-3's game text to 'react' to the battle by deploying as many Rebel Guards as you can. Now, if the opponent tries to fire a weapon at your CZ-3, use Droid Shutdown to cancel it. After the weapons segment, if the opponent draws a battle destiny, use the 'Lost' part of Don't Forget The Droids to sac your CZ-3 and cancel their destiny draw. Now comes the fun part. You may need a pencil. Add up the total power for each side, find the difference between them, and multiply by 3. That's how much force your opponent (hopefully) loses. If you've been drawing good cards and you've saved up three or four force before the first battle, the game will probably be over. I once beat a guy in a battle on the third turn by 69 force. The sad part was that he had Vader, Maul, and Bossk down at the begging of the battle against my CZ-3 and a single Rebel Guard.

Additional Notes: If your opponent tries to be passive and kill you with force drains, go ahead and force drain him on Yavin 4 (and any accessible sites he deploys) while slipping AFA's into his reserve deck. If he tries to put characters on Yavin 4, knowing that you can't attack him with your Rebel Guards, deploy Order To Engage. He'll either battle you and die quickly, or lose three force each turn (or seven when the AFA's surface). If he Alters you Order To Engage, cancels your AFA's, and blocks your force drains, pull out the original Jedi badass--Obi-Wan With Lightsaber. Although he's just one man, he should be able to do some damage if you play him right. And if you somehow find yourself at the losing end of a battle, Houjix will save your but without fail. Defensive shields should take care of most other small annoyances that might get thrown at you.
