Notes

  • Posted 'Padme Amidala' dested Padme Naberrie (the draft had Queen Amidala, Ruler Of Naboo); Queen Amidala is posted separately. Uncertain.
  • Original-era (V): Sai'torr Kal Fas (V) and Han's Heavy Blaster Pistol (V) (Virtual Set 1); Into The Garbage Chute, Flyboy (V) and Escape Pod (V) (Virtual Set 2); Wokling (V), Han (V) and Chewbacca (V) (Virtual Set 3); Surreptitious Glance (V), Imperial Atrocity (V) and Lobot (V) (Virtual Set 6). The draft had dropped the (V) on Into The Garbage Chute and read Han (V) as Han Solo.
  • Posted 'Obi Wan Kenobi's Lightsaber (Prem)' dested Obi-Wan's Lightsaber; 'Qui Gon Jinn's Lightsaber (Tat)' Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber.

Strategy

Ok, so this is my first crack at this much-maligned objective. Here's hoping that the PC will give it some help in the future so it does just collect dust.

First off, you want to search for a DB to check to make sure Qui Gon and his saber is in reserve. You will activate just enough to pull him using the City Outskirts to move him into the Junkyard. I prefer having the Junkyard in the middle since it is the most important site.

On turn 2 you activate some more, and remember to drain at the Junkyard and then stack. Always remember to stack- it's like a free +1 to your drain. It's ok to pay the drain tax, you should be doing enough damage to your opponent.

On this turn I like using Wokling (V) to pull LS Prof to beef up Qui/drains. From there, you will want to look for A Remote Planet to enhance your drains, as well as the JCC to bump up meager activation. I like using Lando/Lobot or Panaka/Padme to hold one site, and Obi Wan to hold the other.

Eventually, you will flip and your Republic characters will be boosted. I have included many interrupts that give you means of drawing multiple destinies to maximize your retrieval. Continue draining out and hope you win the race. You do have a few good uses for your scrubs with Noble Sacrifice. I deploy most of my charcters to lock down the sites and to have many valid NS targets in play. Republic characters are forfeit +4, so you will get plenty back if you can pull it off once per game, let alone twice.

No space… yeah, well, this objective doesn't let you deploy planets for the first 5 turns. I'm in no hurry to fit in a space package based on that horrendous bit of GT, so I'm hoping that the opponent will not realize I have no blue for a few turns before he spreads and drains.

EDIT---------------------

I've got to disagree about my activation potential. On turn 2, assuming I get out the DB, I am generating 10 Force, and if I get the JCC out, it goes to 13. Were you perhaps not counting my Qui icon and the GT on the Junkyard? Thanks for the review!
