Introduction

This deck aims to win through steady, moderate drains coupled with violent bursts of lightsaber combat and nasty Force pile manipulation.

Strategy

This Racing LSC has been cobbled together by checking out the best decks of these types that I have been able to find out there. This is my first attempt at racing and at LSC.

First off, this acts as a bit of a shield puller in that you should expect to succeed even if your opponent drops the racing and combat shield. If they choose not to drop them, all the better. Racing doesn't count as one of your three per game limit, but pulling one is better than pulling none.

The LSC shield limits your use of combat cards, limits drains to 2 at Naboo sites (w/ 2 or more Jedi there) and restricts your objective auto kill to droids and spies.

The racing shield lets your opponent lose no Force to a lost Podrace, but you can't have your retrieval stopped. If you occupy less battlegrounds than opponent, I Did It is suspended. This should not be a problem since you have the 2 Naboo sites, the arena once you finish racing, and Malastare.

I'll break strategy into two bits: Race and Combat.

The Race

Start racing, but your goal is to be able to retrieve all 6 Force to which you are entitled. Most opponents will not have a Podracer, so you can stretch it out to a degree. Remember to pull I Did It before you finish. To help, you have Too Close For Comfort. Once you win and have I Did It active, ditch BEP to get 4 more Force back if you are able. Luke (V) in Red 5, Wedge in Red Squad 1, and HCF, are there to help you hold Malastare to fulfill your battleground system. The Jedi will hold the ground. From there, you retrieve 2 Force per turn- one from Luke, one from EE, and your opponent cannot hoard Force unless he loses 2 Force. This should help get around setting up beatdowns or the like.

The Combat

As you race, set up on Naboo quickly since you can drain. Qui Gon, JM is the man since he adds to the combat pain. I'm not using more sabers since your drains will likely be capped at 2 due to the shield. Since running Jedi, I have a little SAC in for fun. There are many 6 or 7 destiny cards in this deck (I count 10), stack them to use as combat cards. Strike Blocked is my only dedicated LSC interrupt, but it has other uses as well. I included many non Jedi who can initiate battles with non Dark Jedi who invade Naboo. Too Close For Comfort makes it harder to hit people, especially in conjunction with I Did It.

CARD CHOICES

Start w/ Goo Nee Tay- I've got to do something to counteract giving up so much Force! =)

Holo Stuff- I wanted more Force, and I knew I wanted to run some Escape Pods, so this fit nicely. Projection can slow down drains or hang at the Holotable.

AWRI combo- get out Wedge's Ship and help in space

Warrior's Courage-. Aww, poor Leia. She's all by herself until you drop this. 3 battle destinies is nothing to sneeze at.

Padme- gets out Qui and Obi

Intruder Missile- the Falcon can shoot this, plus its got nice destiny.

Bionic Hand. In case I get disarmed, and it has nice destiny.
