Strategy

First of all, thanks go to the granddaddy of B-Wings, Catman. Your decks have been a big inspiration, and I hope you approve.

At one point, I was planning on using Strike Planning to pull Rieekan-Lock Planets to flip faster…. Would this be a good thing to use?

As it is now, you just use the objective to pull planets and then set up to flip, when it is most advantageous for you. First and foremost is to get Roche out and then use Wokling to get S & K running.

If your opponent is going to try and play your game in space, you'll want to set up your weaponry. S & K pulls weapons, you can ditch YISYW for either remaining effect as needed.

With Aim High and Concentrate All Fire, your power gets pretty high quickly. SWM will add a destiny in most battles.

The real kicker (IMO) is the other Admiral's Order. I got this idea from David Destefanis aka DDM, who won Italy states with something similar, as well as prompting the errata on Advance Prep (V).

If your ships hit the opponent, they lose 1 Force. If they get hit with Proton Torps, they lose 2. B-Wings can shoot all day long…. Provided you can pay for it. Plus, the bombers can usually make a ship defense 0 with their Ion Cannons. Use BoShek to pull the Targeting Comp to fire twice with one weapon… even if it is –1, your B-Wings will more than make up for it. With Hit and Run you can do some direct damage and run away… Did I mention that for every hit you can retrieve 2 Force?

All in all, if they are playing ground, you can drain for a good bit, and slow them down with your two drain canceling per turn. Accelerate the damage with Rebel Artillieries. You should be able to get a foothold on a weak site with Lando, Qui and Obi.

CARD CHOICES

Planets

I chose to go with 6, 2 common, 2 uncommon, and 2 rare. This can open up to some fun mindgames.

Commons are Aquaris and Kashyyyk. Aquaris is there for some extra generation. Big K is easier to defend due to their GT.

Uncommons are Kessel (drain) and Roche.

Rares are Tibrin, just in case I lose a vital card, and Kiffex, for the drain.

I think I've covered the rest above. Please weigh in on the Rieekan pull strain here or on the feedback thread. Thanks for reading, and hopefully, reviewing!

EDIT

Thanks for the review, Wonder. Against a dedicated ground deck, it would be a drain race. With my flip side, I can cancel there two largest drains, and if they spread out to get cute, I can also send my ground crew for a visit. I was considering using Menace/Honor to keep me going, but with my retrieval, I don't think it's necesary. Since ground is more popular than space, I'm sure I will get some good experience in seeing if I can handle the drain race.

Thanks for the review, Cam! I tried this out last night against IO (V), a ground deck. It did become a drain race. However, with my canceling I was able to largely nullify his Garrisons. They did 4 damage each. I was unable to get my ground dudes out... if I was able to get one in hand, I wouldn't have to pay for Battle Plan. I won by 10, since I couldn't retreive since he didn't stay in space.
