Deck info[edit]

Introduction[edit]

Ok, basic heavy-handed ralltiir ops deck. Most people will see the combos/reasons for cards straight away but have explained them below anyhow. Hopefully this will help a few people who are intested in ralltiir ops *looks at revelation*. This has been designed for the classic format and has no (v)'s - i didn't have time to go through them to see if anything would be useful.

The published list has 61 cards.

Strategy[edit]

Simple run down of the deck. Average Destiny is 2.7 before any cards are played - so it rises straight away and your battle destiny should be +3 when ralltiir ops is flipped. First Turn activation is a minimum of 5 (and +1 to your opponent).

Starting: pretty obvious. mob points grabs carida, imp arrest order grabs executor: DB (over DS2:DB because peitt deploys cheaper), ro grabs Spaceport:DB. Secret Plans is there because i hate people who retrive (well - i hate being retrived against), especially early on. May not stop them but it slows them down. second turn imp arrest order grabs DS2: DB. also the bonus forfeit and generatin from imp arrest order and mob points respectfully is useful.

Locations: Carida - to retrive the 4 biker scouts. DB's - extra generation. Prefect's office - greater power. Swamp - prevent reacting.

Characters: Thrawn and Piett - 2 powerful characters than are useful on ground and in space. Imperial command can be used to pull both of them and piett can pull comander nemet - to prevent reacting. Biker Scout Troopers - Pull them early on with bikes to have an early defense. AT-ST pilots, Arnet, Barich and Elesk - pilots for the speeder bikes and at-sts. Emporer, Sim Aloo and Janus Greejatus - cheap and very powerful. Vader and Jade - anti-jedi with their sabers (and young fool when with emporer), jade also grows when palpy on table.

Vehicles: See the characters used in the deck.

Starships: Big and Powerful :)

Interrupts: Evacute - simple. High-speed Tactics - Taking out damn t-47's or making biker scouts grow. Imperial Command - for thrawn and piett, better to get piett first for nemet. Ng'ok - beat down avoidance, also useful with you overestimate their chances if they start reacting. It's Worse - obvious. Trample - takes guys out with a reusable destiny 4. You overestimate their chances - at-sts, high-speed tactics - whatever you can do to turn the tide. Young fool - damn useful against luke, han etc.

Effects: Bad Feeling - increase cost to main characters. First Strike - obvious, good with secret plans (forces them to pay to retrive the 1 force - which lessens the number of interrupts they can play). Search and Destroy - obvious. You cannot hide forever - obvious.

Weapons: Lightsabers - carving up mains - as before, have a Young fool ready.

I'm not to concered with ounee ta with this deck. Not only would Ng'ok prevent a beatdown (so if your opponent drops onuee ta hold the ng'ok) but with the activation of this deck and the number of characters that can be on the table at one time a beatdown would be hard (ok - would be harder) to do.

Admiral Ozzel could also be used safetly with this deck (swamp, Arnet, Nemet) but his destiny of 0 (tho he could be pulled with imperial command) and the fact that he isn't that useful made me decide to not include him. that and the fact that i had no room.

As for Arica vs Mara Jade, i chose jade because of her ability to add power while piloting, grab her saber and grow when palpy is on the table. Arica is useful as an undercover spy, but if i need a spy i'll deploy a group of characters along with the spy to get presence.

To finish, just incase my explanation of why to pull Executor: DB first didn't make sense i'll say it differently. Lord Vader deploys -2 to the executor or ds2, peitt deploys -2 to the executor. so if you get peitt, grab executor: db first.

Hopes this deck helps people out :)
