ドクター・エヴァザンのいる位置カードで戦闘を行う場合、戦闘力を＋３できる。ただし、そこに相手のライトセーバーがない場合に限る。ポンダ・バーバが操縦している宇宙船の戦闘力は＋２される。
Lore
クアラ（指のあるアクアリッシュ）の男性。殺し屋にして密輸屋。相棒のドクター・エヴァザンに、性能の悪い人工生体の義手を移植される。
Translation of Japanese Text
Title: Ponda Baba.[1]
Card text: When battling at a location card where Doctor Evazan is present, his power may be increased by 3, but only if the opponent has no lightsaber there. The power of a starship piloted by Ponda Baba is increased by 2.[1]
Lore: A male Quara (a fingered Aqualish). A killer and smuggler. His partner, Doctor Evazan, implanted him with a poorly functioning artificial biological prosthetic arm.[1]
Comparison with the English printing: The Japanese lore calls him a killer rather than the English thug, and explicitly says that Doctor Evazan implanted the replacement arm. The Japanese game text says location card and lightsaber, where the printed English says site and lightsaber weapon. Both printings give the piloting bonus to a starship.[2] The later English errata says anything he pilots.[3]
