Ommni Box is a Dark Interrupt (Used Interrupt) from Premiere Limited.

Card Text

Shuffle any player's Reserve Deck or Lost Pile or Used Pile.

Lore

Difficult-to-play instrument which enhances music. Tech Mo'r plays one for Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Strategy

Decipher card strategy (starred on the Premiere Dark card list).

From Paul "Centauri" Unwin : I have seen this card maligned for too long. There is no reason why everybody shouldn't have at least one of them in his (or her) deck.

First of all, it's a 5. This is enough attrition to take out Vader/Obi-Wan or 3 Stormtroopers/Rebel Troopers. Not much more to add to this aspect.

Secondly, it's a Used Interrupt. I like to think of Used Interrupts as "the gifts that keep on giving."

Thirdly, it's free. It's not likely to change the tide in battle (although it can...) but it is always fun to be able to play cards during your opponent's turn.

In the fourth place, it always works. No destiny draw, no nothing. About how many other cards can you say this? In addition, unless your opponent has read this article, why would he or she "waste" a Sense on it?

Finally, you can play it whenever you want (alright, not during battle...). This is what you would expect from a card known as an Interrupt, but a surprising number of otherwise really fantastic cards can only be played during a Control or Battle phase.

"Yeah, but its game text is useless!" says you. "Not so!" says I.

Consider the following: (The Bith Shuffle) Your opponent just lost one

of his main tailkickers. You have a feeling that your opponent is going to play a Kintan Strider after the next battle, in order to get him back.

You nonchalantly interrupt with The Bith Shuffle and your opponent

watches in abject horror as his character slips into the mists of the Lost Pile underneath who knows how many Stormtroopers. Or (Ommni Box), your opponent has just used his Electrobinoculars to find just the right destiny to ruin your day. Assuming you're not in the middle of a battle, you quickly slap down you Ommni Box and deftly obscure the destiny draw your opponent was so certain about a moment ago.

There are other uses. Is your opponent down to few enough cards that he is able to keep track of his high and low destinies? The Bith Shuffle/Ommni Box will take care of that. Or is it still mid-game and is your opponent seeding his deck with above average destinies through the use of Reactor Terminal/Traffic Control? Spread those suckers around with The Bith Shuffle/Ommni Box which you so thoughtfully put in your hand.

I could go on, but I won't. Suffice it to say, that this card is one of the most underrated in the game. Your opponent might laugh the first time you play it, but he or she will soon learn some respect.

Combos:

Nalan Cheel/Tech M'or with another musician (Light or Dark) and The Bith Shuffle/Ommni

Box. You can peek at the top card (or cards if there is more than one other musician present) of the pile or deck you just shuffled. Then you can reshuffle if you like (without peeking this time). I leave finding the uses of this combo as an exercise for the reader.
