Strategy[edit]
Scum2k Strategy
This deck is a modification on Brian Hunter’s Scum 2k done Right. I call it just sick. The way this deck works is thus: Either drain ‘em tell they die, or go and kill them with a few well played characters. Examples are Dr. E and his fun gun when you have like 21 force saved up, which is absolutely possible (as this deck has some crazy mad skills when it comes to force activation.) Waste all but the wimpiest character, then let the battle damage roll. Another favorite is capturing their hot-to-trot BMF Jedi with Snoova, then waste their Talz with Dengar’s gun, and then look at the horrendous battle damage, and laugh. So, here we go…
Early Game (aka your best and earliest chance to win):
You draw your hand, then immediately pull Carida with Mob. Points. Then, activate, and pull the Death Star War Room. Then, you can look at your hand. If that hand should happen to have a Jabba’s Palace in it, Stand up and laugh at your opponent, because he is about to look like a fool. Drop all of the stuff, then pull audience chamber or entrance cavern with JP. My advice is to only pull entrance cavern with Ghana Gleemort in hand. If you don’t, then pull AC, and then Gailid(only if you have an Imperial Barrier or NSP.) Hopefully, you have a good A3 character in hand, then if you drop him with Gailid, you can have a 2nd turn drain of 2! This makes for a regardless 2nd turn activation of 13. Then, Second turn, pull the lower passages, and then drop Ephant Mon there with Power of the Hutt. Basically, if you get the dream draw with this deck (JP, Jabba, AC, Mosep, NSP, Barrier, Ghana Gleemort, Bad Feeling Have I) Your opponent begins to cry when on 3rd turn you drain them for 6 off the top.
Mid-Game
If after 2-3 turns of Gailid/ Mosep drains your opponent hasn’t actually got into the palace yet, they probably never will. At this point, you should nearly have the game, unless you got a less than average draw. If necessary, A well placed Arica can save you a large headache in the end. Just remember that you have A LOT of activation, so drawing a bit of it up is NOT a crime. Don’t forget, it always feels good to say “I’ll drop Guri, Xizor, and Snoova at your Han with Heavy and Chewbacca, Protector” Good Night! The battle damage should kill off Chewie (Han is captured), and like six or seven other cards. Plus, you retreived two with S&V.
Late Game
By this time, the game should either be yours, or be the opponent’s. If it’s yours, then congrats and whoohoo. If not, then just try to lower their diff by as much as possible. A Thok & Thug and a Fett with gun in the right place would definitely help you out in a scrape. *Note: Sometimes when I have got to this point in the game, I have wished for a Reactor terminal, so maybe that is a thought for an addition.
This deck is probably outdated, and should be scrapped, I know, but I guess it depends on your Meta. It’s first win in tournament play was it’s first time out, and I beat a rather highly ranked player with it. Tom Kathman, somewhere in the area of 1950 (me being like 1416) so, It is obviously a surprise to people, Not to mention that this deck is hella fun to play. It is speedy as all hell, plus it has some awesome cool drains that are impossible to stop if you play with Hutt influence.
