      • UPDATE***

I've made a few pretty big changes to the deck, as you can see... for one thing, I've added in some starships. I've also added in Fighters Coming In for some extra drain damage at my docking bays. The deck is now a lot more focused on Coruscant, yet is still equipped to go after the opponent. A few new card choices:

Labria, Undercover, Informant - a little tracking trick I picked up from a CCT deck on another site that shall remain nameless. It also gives me the option of using an Undercover spy if need be.

Limited Resources - just some extra direct damage.

I'm planning on turning this deck into a full-scale old-skool manipulator. Odds are I'll post it up as a new deck and go from there... as always, suggestions/comments welcome!

      • END OF UPDATE***

This deck is set up to handle various LS strategies in many different ways. It can Force choke, it can drain, it can battle, it can cause direct damage up the wazoo... you name it, this deck can do it.

You probably noticed that there isn't any space, which is completely on purpose. Firstly, the selection of available starships is extremely slim... if anything, I'd just throw in Stinger, Virago, and possibly Mist Hunter or IG-2k. Since this kind of space force wouldn't be able to do much vs. a dedicated space deck, I decided to leave starships out altogether (for now).

Anyhoo, much of the gameplay is based on what the match up is, focusing on the weaknesses of the opponent's deck. The one thing that never really changes is that you need to get the objective flipped ASAP, either by moving Xizor to the Spaceport DB or by playing a PotF on his site. After that, give him a bit of backup (Rystall, Feltipern, and Greedo work fine), and leave him alone (and hope your opponent will do the same). Cheap-as-hell Palpy is gonna sit at another Coruscant site and drain/direct damage from the objective (play a PotF on his site if needed). The rest of your characters beat the crap out of your opponent's characters over and over and over again.

Use the flip side of your objective to pick out the cards you want from your Force pile, to set up destinies for weapons (yay! Thermal Detonators!) and battle destiny, and overflow your opponent's characters with massive ammounts of attrition.

Like I said, it's a play-by-ear deck, and it would take forever to go into all the possible matchups, so just LMK via the discussion boards or email if there's a specific matchup you want me to put on here.

Card choices:

Carida - An extra 2 Force early on in the game... if you decide to play choke or if your opponent's playing space, just use this as drain fodder after you get it in your hand.

Cloud City DB - Of all the other deck types out there, QMC is infamous for not giving you a docking bay to move to... and as QMC is still a pretty popular deck choice around here, this will help me get characters between Coruscant and Cloud City. If you're playing choke, it's drain fodder.

The Emperor - The forfeit bonus from Ket Maliss (V) is HUGE in an alien deck like this... I still wanted to use Palpy, but didn't want to lose that extra forfeit.

Makurth - you HAVE read his game text, right? With your ability to keep tabs on your destiny draws, you can use this guy to add an extra 5, 6, or 7 to your total power.

Feltipern Trevagg - Use him to back up Xizor. If he's at the Spaceport DB with a PotF on, your opponent needs to use 4 FORCE to battle you there! That's enough to keep at least another character from being played.

Zuckuss - 1) moves as a 'react' for FREE (a reacting destiny draw!), 2) makes aliens of ability 1-2 forfeit = 0.

Rystall - Power 3 and Forfeit 7 on Coruscant. Yes, she's a Black Sun agent! Good as backup for Xizor... or pair her up with Zuckuss and knock everyone's forfeit down to 0.

Grotto Werribee - Just on the off chance your opponent decides to give you a docking bay, he's an absolute BEAST. If they DON'T give you a docking bay, he's still ability 4.

Thermal Detonator - Give this thing to someone like Greedo or Jodo Kast or something, set up your destinies with the flip side of your objective, and have them commit suicide, taking a LOT of LS characters/vehicles/whatever with them.

Naboo Blaster Rifle - Jodo Kast is deadly/evil with this thing. With him firing, it fires free and hits with a destiny +4 greater than defense value. This allows you to take advantage of some lower destinies and leave the higher ones for battle destiny or weapon destinies for other characters.

Jabba's Twerps - Gives your opponent a bit of a surprise if they try taking on Xizor. Play this, and grab your Vigo's from Reserve deck for an extra 3 power and 8 forfeit each. OR, use it to get back that critical card you just lost to a force drain... if nothing else, it's a floating destiny 6.

Like I said, LMK if there's anything you'd like to see me put up on here. Also, feel free to contact me with any questions about the deck or how it's played. Thanks!
