Okay, Cell 2187(V) and Wokling(V) make this deck work. Turn 1 you’ll activate at least 6. Deploy Artoo from deck at Y4: DB turn one for 2, deploy a Lift Tube for 1 at DS: DB, DB transit Artoo for free, get aboard the Tube, use 1 to move to Detention Block, and you still have 2 left over. If Artoo was in your hand, you still make it (he deploys for 4). Unless your opponent can deal with a droid on his turn 2, Artoo is home free on your turn 2, releasing Leia with Cell 2187 and deploying Hero of a 1000 Devices both during your control phase. Get Hidden Compartment with Hero and play HDWGITM as needed to get Patrol Craft to DS: DB. Replace Leia if you’ve got Rebel Princess in hand; Artoo will be able to send her Anakin’s Stick via Hidden Compartment if they get in trouble, and she’ll draw two once she hits the Y4 War Room. Move Leia + Artoo through Tube to DS:DB, get aboard Patrol Craft, DB transit to Y4:DB, disembark and run to the War Room. FLIP.

SIAEM is brutal against Dark Side, making them put Vader OUT OF PLAY when Leia whacks him. Back Leia up with Chewie/Han/Obi, Bacta Tank in case someone takes one for the team, and you’re in the driver’s seat on the ground. Cmdr Willard(V) is huge here, increasing Leia’s defense value to SEVEN.

The final nail in the coffin is Artoo snatching the D* Plans. Play D* Plans on DS:DBlock, run Artoo over there with the vehicles, get him back to Y4 and you’re set up to blow the Death Star. Yeah, the retreival is nice too (just make sure if you’re depending on it to leave enough Force for Secret Plans).

After all that nonsense, you should have either Luke(V) or Red 5(V) in hand. Squassi them to DS: DB, play the Happy Fun Ball, then have Artoo DB transit back to DS after his D* Plans run. Board up Red 5 and take off for your meeting with destiny. Play Advance Prep next turn to get Attack Run etc, and blow it! You’ll need a 7 destiny on 2 draws to make it (which is usually not a big deal).

The destiny layout is as follows for the 49-card deck (not counting Starting stuff):

0 - 3

1 - 9

2 - 7

3 - 3

4 - 8

5 - 10

6 - 8

7 - 2

Most of the characters are the 1s, so once you’ve got em out, you’re stacked for some serious damage. Some notes on card choices:

Patrol Craft over Eopies. Here's why:

While Patrol Craft does have a 4 destiny to Eopie's 5, that's where the disadvantages end. Patrol Craft has higher maneuver and landspeed, and more importantly, it can move as a react. If Amidala was in this deck, I might be swayed to play Eopie instead. But she's not.

Devices:

Artoo grabs Hidden Compartment with Hero, and after persona swapping Prisoner 2187 with Leia RP, he can launch her Anakin's stick. AND he can forfeit it for 5 with Hero.

Obi's Journal lets Obi/Leia cancel two weapon destinies, so that's staying in.

Luke's Backpack is strictly for 6 destiny and for Artoo to grab and forfeit with Hero, although I think I might try a Retractable Arm instead (4 instead of 6 destiny).

How Did We Get Into This Mess vs Grabbers:

I usually only need to play Mess two or three times before I've got what I want. After the first one, it's doubtful my opponent will grab it (unless he knows what I'm playing). After the second one, if it's grabbed, that's fine, I pay 2 for the third Mess and I'm on my way. Grappling Hook(V) would kinda suck, turning 4s into 1s, but I think really the only grabber I'll see in the near future is There'll be Hell/Allegations.

Chewie's AT-ST:

5 FORFEIT for 2 deploy, and Chewie(V) pulls it. Again, this is an attempt to keep my mains safe for one battle while whacking his mains out of play. I've also considered adding Wookie Strangle for Chewie to grab, as well as Fallen Portal, since I'll be hanging out at Y4:DB and D*:DB for a few turns. And once his unique guys are lost, they're OUT OF PLAY.

Locations:

Like I said, I'm activating at least 6 first turn (plus any opponent's starting stuff), which is enough for the first two turns until I can get my objective flipped. Until Leia makes it, I'll be playing Mess to cycle and bring up JCC, although I was having serious thoughts about using Speak With the Council.

Wokling(V):

This is my all-purpose butt-saving of all time. Accidently lost Death Star? Ditch Wokling; Death Star saved. Leia ate it and no Bacta Tank/Resilience available? Wokling to the rescue. D* Plans went away? Wokling, go get it! AND it can pull Lightsaber Proficiency or Reflection to stack on Leia, both of which may make it into the next revision of the deck.

Thanks much for reviewing, and hope you enjoy my deck!
