Easy Come, Easy Go Sealed Deck is a Star Wars CCG sealed-deck format in which every card that is lost, placed out of play or discarded is physically destroyed. Decipher ran it as a non-sanctioned side event at DecipherCon 2000.[1]

  • Type: sealed deck
  • Defined by: Decipher (2000)
  • Card pool: 3 unlimited Premiere boosters, 2 Jabba's Palace boosters, and an Enhanced Premiere Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker pack per player
  • In use: 2000 (DecipherCon 2000)
  • Also called: Easy Come, Easy Go (Decipher's event page)
  • GEMP: none

Card pool

"Each player will be given 3 unlimited Premiere boosters, 2 Jabba's Palace boosters and either an EPP Darth Vader or EPP Luke Skywalker."[1]

Decipher's rules: "Whenever a card is lost, placed out of play or discarded, you must physically destroy it! Tear it in half, roll it into a ball, eat it - whatever! The catch: you must play with all of the cards that you are given, and if you drop early from the tournament, you must forfeit all of your cards."[1]

The page does not say whether players swap cards of the other side, as in a standard Sealed Deck event.

History

Decipher scheduled one Star Wars event: Saturday 7 October 2000 at noon (event #SW232), single elimination, $10, non-sanctioned.[1][2] The same convention scheduled Star Trek CCG Easy Come, Easy Go sealed-deck events on 6 and 7 October.[2]

The destroy rule had appeared a year earlier in Iron Man, a constructed format at DecipherCon 1999, with the same opening line: it "adds new meaning to the word 'lost'".[3]
