Introduction

The methods of controlling Watto's Junkyard are so sloppy that they just might work! Why battle if you don't have to? Yes, you've seen this strategy before- but now it has a new home: The Hyperdrive Objective, and new sub-strategies too.

Strategy

Turn one: activate at least 5 force, deploy Artoo from deck to Watto's Junkyard (2 force) using Cell (V). Deploy Aim High and Do Or Do Not shields from under staring effect. Deploy Pathetic Lifeform and/or Jedi Council Chamber if you drew them. Draw up force pile (minimum 3).

Turn two should definitely allow a Hero of a Thousand Devices to play on Artoo from your deck or hand. You will probably also have an Extingusher or two already in your hand to deploy on Artoo. Opponent will most likely try to battle you at Watto's Junkyard. Cancel all battles with the Fire Extinguishers, shoot with Han's Blaster during control phase, and keep drawing until you have a decent number of cards to improve a battle. Here are the cards you should be trying to get in your hand/in play: -Lando with Axe (+1 destiny, + exclusion) -Order To Engage (when you cancel a battle, opponent will lose 3 force, yes I know there's a shield for it- but maybe with the new Dagobah (V) SE and luck I may be able to occasionally pull it off) -All My Urchins (in order to battle, opponent will have to lose 2 force! With Han (V), there's no need to battle to gain control of a location!) -Slight Weapons Malfunction (+1 BD for Han's Blaster being fired) -Into The Chute (V) (+1 BD at Junkyard)

You can get as many as 4 (very high numbered) battle destiny draws! One heck of a surprise, and it's immune to Wipe Them Out!

If opponent is playing a solid space deck, you will be able to flip the objective and control each site with a senator (dealing 1 extra pt of damage per site during each of your turns).

Total drain/free damage potential: Qui-Gon's Saber (+1) Obi-Wan's Saber (+1) Lightsaber Proficiency (+1) Each site with a senator (+2) Unmodified drains (2) Credits Will Do Fine (+1)

Total = Up to 8 points of damage each turn while controlling both of the Tatooine sites, 7 while you only control Junkyard. Also, retrieval with Figrin'Dan, a space deck wouldn't stand a chance.

Q: So what deck type would this most likely lose against? A: Most definitely a darkside Hoth deck which could win by the "drain game".

The main point is to trick your opponent into trying to battle you. Almost every player thinks that they can control the Junkyard by battling a few times to get rid of the extinguishers- but it won't work. One fun thing to do is have all of the Battle Destiny adders in your hand, opponent will battle, you won't cancel as expected but instead add +2-3 battle destiny and end up the victor.
