Cam Solusar:Good point about the hyperspeed. One of the systems I've been concitering is Sullust (parsec 7). The problem with S-foils is that it defeats the idea of being able to run away, since it reduces the hyperspeed of X-wings to 0. This prevents me from being able to evade battles, since it effects all X-wings, not just select ones. I intend to use Hit And Run only when my opponent cannot fire back (which often is the case around here). Therefore the number of support cards (weapons) are fairly small. Thanks for the review.

Shewski: You're correct, Walkers would be a very tough match-up. Against walkers I could either set-up EBO and hope I can get enough big drains in before the generators are destroyed. Even on their own, the three characters I place on hoth aren't completely defenseless, and since I would not leave them where the walkers could get at them, they would have a decent shot at surviving. It would like become a drain race, and I should be able to win such a race. Thanks for the review.

Darth Hoth: The only problem I find with Coruscant is that it is not a legal hidden base (therefore reducing the options from 5 systems to 4, making it easier to find my base). I'm sure Luke (V) + AIR5 will be in the next revision. I use only one Hit And Run for 2 reasons. 1: I only have that many, and 2: A favorite tactic of my usual opponent is to use SFS Cannons with X=3 and make many starships lost, therefore I want more emphasis on being able to leave before the weapons phase. If I used more weapons in the deck, I might conciter more H&R.; Advance Prep should be (V), I guess I missed that. WWTBAO vs The Signal is a result of my forgetfulness. WWTBAO will definately be used instead. Thanks for the review.

Wedge231: I use Dodonna because he pulls Navader. Even with being cheaper, not being able to pull Navader would eventually slow the deck down too much. One of the ideas I've been toying with for use is Luke (V) with Artoo In Red 5. Thanks for the review.

Guru_Ketch: 5 systems is plenty of locations. Even if I could play more after I flipped, I wouldn't. I likely would not use 5 except that Hidden Base requires that amount to flip in the first place. Thanks for the review.

      • Strategy ***

1st Turn: Activate 6 (if possible). Pull system from reserve deck and from under starting effect. Pull both generals if both are in reserve deck. Pull Docking bay with Insurrection. If generals are pulled, play both (if possible, otherwise just Rieekan). Pull and deploy MPG with Rieekan.

2nd Turn: Activate up to 6 (8 if Rieekan has not been played). Pull 2 systems (one from reserve, one from under Starting Effect). During control phase, if Dodonna is in play, use 1 to pull Navader. Rieekan or Dodonna have not been played, do so. Pull A New Secret Base using Rieekan. Pull EBO and Echo Site or both remain EB sites using A New Secret Base. Play Navader if possible, but only if all three echo sites are in play.

3rd Turn: Activate only what is needed to play EBO and flip objective. Pull Navader (if not already done). Pull final system from reserve deck, and either final EB site or EBO. Play Navader (if in hand) and site/effect. Be sure that all three characters occupy all 3 sites. Play EBO, flip objective.

Remaining Game: Play X-wings, spread and drain. Use Hyper Escape and Hit And Run to avoid battles (if needed). Use Houjix combo if battle cannot be avoided. Use HCF to beat unsuspecting dark forces. Use Life Debt to pull HCF or to add battle destiny. Use Incom Corporation to beef up X-wings (more power, plus less X-wings needed to draw destiny). Use Logistical Delay (V) to protect against Senate (the game text canceller is particularly effect against Passel Argente). Use Assault Squads to cycle X-wings back into reserve deck for higher differencal. Between Rebel Fleet and flipped HBO, drains should not be a problem.

This deck is the first deck I have built in several months. I have left 3 slots open for cards yet to be determined, along with one undecided system. Thus far, I have chosen systems based mostly on available draining power (drain adders, 2 icons for opponent). Shields will be chosen based on local metas. Likely choices will include Battle Plans and A Tragedy Has Occurred. Suggestions are welcome.
