Decklist
Notes
- Jabba The Hutt (V) and J'Quille (V) exist only as Virtual Set 8 printings and the post marks them (v); dested VS8 (Feb 2005).
- Posted Vader's/Mara's Stick dested Vader's Lightsaber / Mara Jade's Lightsaber; East Platform dested Cloud City: East Platform (Docking Bay); Mara Jade dested Mara Jade, The Emperor's Hand; Masterful Move and Ghhhk are the single Interrupts.
- Other (V) cards: Flagship (V) (VS5); Special Delivery (V), Kuat Drive Yards (V), Lando Calrissian (V), Despair (V), Imperial Decree (V), Ability, Ability, Ability (V) (VS6).
- Posted 'Snoova’s Stick' dested Vibro-Ax: Snoova's game text lets a Vibro-Ax deploy on him for free from Reserve Deck.
Strategy
The strategy is fairly simple.
First turn:
Pull Lando and Executor, activate, pull free Executor effect, pull Audience Chamber, pull Bespin, deploy Executor (with Lando if your opponent gives you at least one icon).
Second turn:
Activate, drain, pull a docking bay, pull Flagship, pull Chiraneau, pull Sullust, do as you see fit.
Subsequent turns:
Continue to pull cards from your deck like it's your job. Without Han and Lando, you can easily rape your opponent in space and on the ground. With Despair, Presence of the Force, Chiraneau, and the sabers, you can also drain them dry.
Late game:
Win. What more can I say?
Card Choices:
Lord Vader - pullable with Flagship. I prefer DVDLOTS, but at least I'm guaranteed a Vader.
Mara Jade/Arica - fight with Mara or pull Arica with Audience Chamber to block a drain.
Lando - just plain awesome.
Jabba - when his Prize is at the Audience Chamber, Jabba becomes a beast like nobody's business.
Snoova - I wanted more power on the ground and Snoova's a power 6 with the capability of removing a pesky Rebel from a fight. Sweet.
J'Quille - um, Speeders are broken in Classic, plus once per game direct damage is good (and he's a spy!).
Chimaera and Devastator - immune to attrition < 4, deploy -1, and draw a destiny by themselves all thanks to Kuat Drive Yards.
Imperial Command - even though I pull admirals with Flagship, the battle destiny modifying text is fun. Why not?
Masterful Move - the destiny in this deck is sh1t and this is a 6. Also, pulls Ghhhk and is easy to track.
Despair - I'm in love with this card...'nuff said.
There is No Try & Oppressive Enforcement - there are too many effects in this deck that aren't immune to Alter. Plus, allows my grabber to deploy for free, which is nice.
Crush the Rebellion - Pulls the I Have You Nows and limits my opponent's destinies at CC sites. w00t!
Imperial Decree - with everything out, I have a grand activation total of 17, but this protects me just in case. Also, damage reduction is good.
AAA - retrieving characters into hand and activating 1 in order to initiate a battle, all the while screwing over Senate? Count me in.
Bad Feeling Have I - I already deprive my opponent of Han and Lando, so why not make it even more difficult for him/her to get the rest of their mains out? Sounds like fun!
The rest is self-explanatory. I’d appreciate comments and opinions. Have fun!
EDIT 1: Fixed some spelling errors.
EDIT 2: I was thinking that I should probably throw in a Sunsdown/Too Cold for Speeders combo but can't decide what to remove. Any suggests?
bounty hunter6: Thanks for the review.
vader12: It's true that I play a lot of classic, but if you're interested I can throw together an open environment version of this deck and post it. Thank you for the review.
