Strategy
<Strategy>
This deck is an improved version of my last HB Asteroids deck, so I’ll recap the strategy:
1st Turn: Get out Roche and hopefully get out an asteroid field, Big One, and the Cave. If Roche isn’t there then try to grab Kessel or Endor. Maybe deploy a ship to the Rendezvous Point and move it if able to the system.
2nd Turn: Get out another system, an asteroid field, and try to get a ship in the asteroid field. If you don’t have A Few Maneuvers in hand then make sure the starship has high maneuver.
3rd Turn: Hopefully you’ll have the last asteroid field out and at least three systems. I typically have about four systems out since I drew up a good amount in the turns before. You should have at least one ship in the asteroids. You can probably at this point think about setting up Kessel and/or Rycar’s Runs.
4th-5th turns: Somewhere in here you should get the fifth and hopefully the sixth systems out and flip. If the opponent set up more quickly than you, don’t worry about the sixth system (if it isn’t your HB) and flip.
6th turn and on: Keep on draining, causing direct damage and retrieving.
<Card Choices>
Tibrin- retrieve your HB if you’ve lost it (Thank you Shewski for this idea) :)
Yoda Stew & You Do Have Your Moments- This card helps me by preventing starship loss through attrition. Since I have 11 destiny = 0 cards in the deck at the very start, I thought it would help in early battles. It also helps re-circulate unneeded cards.
Lost Relay- Make the opponent hurt for sending fighters after you in the asteroid fields.
They’d Be Crazy To Follow Us- Make it easier to make the opponent hurt for sending fighters after you in the asteroid fields.
Ineffective Manuever- This deck’s version of Alter, I also accredit this idea to Shewski.
<Whoa, that’s tech!>
BoShek + Tala 1 + Rebel Flight Suit (pullable by Boshek)-
Reveal BosSek/Tala 1, pull the matching pilot/starship, then have BoShek /\ the Flight Suit to make Tala 1 power 7 and maneuver 8.
This combo is great for the asteroids. If I have A Few Manuevers in hand I can save them from a destiny 7.
Rayc (V) + Pulsar Skate-
Also pullable by Squadron Assignments, this pair can retrieve 18 force on a Kessel Run from Corellia. Rayc can also retrieve 16 on a Rycar’s Run. Could be a game turner there...
<End Notes>
So that’s the deck. Thanks to Shewski for help on the first edition. Thanks for reading, God bless, and MTFBWY.
<EDIT>
Statman-
Asteroid Sanctuary is specifically canceled in the GT of (V) Asteroids Do Not Concern Me, so it's a no-can-do. I'll try to obtain I'll Take The Leader. Thanks for taking the time to review. Please respond in the Ratings Feedback Thread.
