Lore
Flying into an asteroid field is considered to be certain death except by Han Solo, Rycar Ryjerd and the terminally insane.
Joke
The lore jokes that only Han Solo, the smuggler Rycar Ryjerd and the "terminally insane" would fly into an asteroid field, as Han does in The Empire Strikes Back.[1] It is also a joke about plot armor: Han survives because he is the film's hero, and anyone without plot armor who tried it would be "terminally insane" in both senses, insane and terminal, dead very quickly.
