  • Description: Uses Ellors (V) to get big drains while using battle evasion and Tusken Breath Mask (V) to keep your guys on the table.

Strategy

The credit for this deck goes to thehooky. We took his party of five deck and narrowed it down and gave it some tech for dealing with Big Blue and Scum. However other than a handful of cards its pretty much the same. I'm only posting it to give more credit to him.

Its cheese and everyone knows it. The basis of the deck is flip turn one with Dash/Outrider and scrub aliens. If you get Lobot in your opening hand then all the better and quicker you will flip. Deploy sites as well as aliens to hold them then use the evasion and Tusken Breath Mask (V) to keep aliens out at sites. Its amazing what cards people will grab when left with only one choice. Multiple grabbers can cause problems with this, but most people only play Allegations of Corruption. It has a problem with timed wins but with enough experience you should be able to reduce that.

Some the success in Worlds with this was due to the fact that many people weren't playing the Ellors shield. Its 2 losses during the weekend were to Endor OPs. Chris Shaner had played Bobby on Day 2 and thus teched his deck for a Day 3 match-up which he subsequently won. I losed to Endor OPs cause I misplayed Landing Claw.

Matchups

Scum (MKOS or AOBS)

Toughest match-up by far. The scum retrival is a big part of this. They can match your alien spread and initiate and retrieve with Scum. We tried to negate that by throwing in You've Got A Lot of Gut Coming Here. However Bob was able to win with out it against Greg Shaw's AOBS, barely.

SYCFA Fear

Should be an easy win. Garrett's version was way quicker than most and would've beat Bob if he had included the Ellors Shield. If they playthe Ghhhk Combo it could be a long ride. However against a normal Fear deck get out landing claw quick and use it wisely while draining big on the ground. Even with Ellors Shield you still have 3 drains of 3.

Mains Decks

This deck was built to go against mains. All the battle evasion coupled with a few unique alien gametext make any mains platfrom an easy matchup.

Oola during the control phase is a great way to make sure that your opponent won't be coming at you unless the use Mara, Maul, or Aurra. With the inclusion of a few spies you should be able to take care of Visage.

It may not be much to look at but it works. It went 7-2 between Bob and I at worlds this past weekend, but play it yourself and see.
