Strategy

EDIT: this deck is pre-v-set-7. I will probably change the Tantive to the v-version

I won't post the entire strategy since this is simply an updated re-post of my MBO deck. And again, I'm not simply seeking more tech points, so I won't be upset if you don't review it.

For a more complete strategy section, see my posted deck "Lost Pile? What's a Lost Pile? v2.0" or the MBO 2-part article I wrote.

The deck seems to be working well in its current configuration. In the Normal DPC and IL States, the deck is 5-1 with an average differential close to 30. At IL States, I blew up the D* on turn 3 all three games.

Briefly, some of the changes...

I bumped the deck up to 4 unique Yavin sites and 2 non-unique sites, for two reasons. One, I want a better chance of getting a location into my hand by turn 2 so I can flip even if my docking bay is occupied. Two, if I draw sites into my hand I don't have to rely as much of Rieekan (v) pulling the generic site, and I can use him to pull Tigran Jamiro (v) instead...this guy is the MBO BOMB. Saves me precious force, and makes beatdown harder to pull off. In fact, since I've been running him I have not taken significant battle damage in any battle. Finally, the more sites, the more I add to my Attack Run total.

I added a couple more ships, incl. HC+F. I nearly ALWAYS have a ship in my reserve deck to deploy with Great Shot, Kid, even when I activate a lot of force. I also dropped Draw Their Fire, which was a hard decision. I like the Rebel Tech (v) tech, but I found that half the time I didn't have the force to deploy all the ships I wanted the same turn, and pay for Secret Plans, and do the Tech trick. Instead, I added some Senses to go along with the Inconsequential Barriers...now I can effectively handle Barrier, Set for Stun, AND I'd Just as Soon Kiss a Wookie, all MBO killers.

Basically, I just sacrificed some late-game stuff for more cards that ensure the D* goes away by turn 3. That's the one and only key. Do that, and your retrieval and battle/drain potential at systems will be enough to win the game.

D-mail me if you have questions. Thanks to everyone for your props...I'm quite proud of this deck, which has been a work in progress for nearly two years.
