Strategy[edit]

This is a Lightsaber Combat deck designed to bring out the opponent's defensive shields with many of the different game aspects that they were made to combat. It is similar to Brad Reinhold's deck, with modifications for my own playing style.

Ways to draw out the defensive shields:

Podracing: One of the most shield intensive deck strategies, this can draw out the Secret Plans shield, CHYBC shield, and the racing shield. Even with all three of these out it is still possible for this deck to make the race cause some damage and get some retrieval out of it.

Inserts: Everyone thought inserts would die with Defensive Shields, but in every game I have played with this deck the inserts have popped because people were scared to waste their shields on them, or they had already spent all three shields. I chose AFA over numbers because it is a killer vs. DS saber combat, they cant initiate a battle, so they can hand you 4 force.

Order to Engage: Some more anti-DS saber combat tech. They cant battle you, so throw down OTE and watch them lose 3 force a turn, its fun!!!

Frozen Assets: I chose this over beggar because of the destiny, but still not sure which would be better.

I chose to go without SAC in this deck cuz It seemed like people still prefer the combo card vs. the defensive shields for anti-SAC, and it seemed like it really wasnt that useful in this deck, so I scrapped it for more useful cards.

This deck works by 3 things, draining, combating, and direct damage. While you are on the 0 side of the Obj, you drain for massive amounts on naboo. When they bring the fight with their Dark Jedi, you combat them away, preferably with quiggy, because he increases the loss. And the direct damage is made especially for DS saber combat, since you wont be able to drain or battle them, and they will make combat tough.

Hardest matchup I can see for this deck is DS Space, but can still be won through drains, and direct damage. Some constructive ideas would be helpful as this deck has only seen play in 1 tournament and I hope to play it in 2 more this weekend.

Thanks for the help and Happy Holidays!!
