Strategy

Deck inspiration: Stephen "Team Waco" Beckham and Maximilien "Kiriel" Bouchard

This deck is based on their Brangus shield puller decks. I took out the shield puller stuff just because I'd be banned from tournaments here if I ran anything like that.

Warning: This deck will probably lose to WYS. The players in my area all agree WYS is a cheap deck so nobody uses it here. If it is common in your area (who am I kidding?), switch out some Senses for They're Still Coming Through x2.

This is a version of the deck I recently used to win my local tournament. It is a pretty simple concept.

Early Game: Start the race and pull the Holotable and War Room on turn 1 if possible. Then just draw up/save for a turn or two. Get out Drop eventually for easy tracking. Win the race. Sometimes it won't do much but I built this to combat all the Throne Room racing decks used by me.

Mid game: You should have some good beatdown cards ready. Deploy to their sites and battle. Eventually you will cause some serious overflow. There is a good amount of character removal in here like Force Lightning, DVDLOTS, and IG-88 with Riot Gun. If you're even decent at tracking you can get a 7 or 6 to the top. If you read my report, you'll see I choked Obi in one game and captured Jedi Luke in another.

Late game: Hopefully they're low on characters and you can drain at their sites. I ran into problems where they don't give you any battlegrounds and you can only drain for 1 at the Podrace arena.

Card choices:

Bad Feeling Have I: I recently added this card to the deck. I used to start Watto's Box but I never had 11 cards in my lost pile when the race was over and they never lost more than 6 to the race anyway.

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith: I made this deck based on character removal. EPP Vader x2 and a few Circles would be nice but I like tracking a 7 to choke Obi and Luke.

Darth Sidious: Helps against LSC.

OOC cancellers x4: I hate OOC so I pack 4 counters for it. I'm sure I could get by with 2 though. I'm crazy like that though.

Kintan Strider: Resilience for darkside but can be used with any character. Masterful Move pulls it too.

This is mostly a fun deck but can win depending on your meta. I wouldn't recommend it if WYS or heavy space is popular by you.
