--- response to reviews ---
Catman - Celebration is bad in Profit decks. Besides, Masterful Move & Endor Occupation is really popular. Ground based Tatooine decks don't cause me problems. I convert their sites so they're off to a slow start right away. Vs. MKOS they either have to start the Lower Passages or forfeit their Jabba's Palace.
Revelation - I need a faster flip? I'm almost guaranteed to have a Ben or Luke in my hand turn 1. 'Back cards are bad', trust me. Between Bacta Tank and Ben, my characters don't die. I choose not to play destiny adders because Imperial Domination (v) is the new #1 starting effect around here. The only destiny adders I would ever dream of playing anyway are Gift of the Mentor and Skywalkers. More Evasion? Dodge x2, Barrier, and Fallen Portal x2 aren't enough then, huh? Narrow Escape and Barrier are cancelled by Blast Door Controls. Barrier is also cancelled by They're Stll Coming Through. It Can Wait is just a bad card in general.
--- end responses ---
Over on the PC boards, Catman complained about the lack of quality Profit decks on the internet. I'm here to try and change that.
Early game:
Flip turn one hopefully with Luke or Ben. Give him a saber from reserve. Now you're set to do 3 damage on turn 2, which is good. Pull your docking bays for activation. Get your other saber wiedling characters out to increase the damage.
Middle game:
You should have a hold on Tatooine. Fallen Portal should help keep their forces away. Keep Ben with Han for 'reviving'. Threepio should be out to set up your tracking. Use your spare characters for surgical strikes at the opponent. Lando and anyone else should work.
Late game:
There is no late game. You either drain/damage to win quick, or you'll lose quick. The faster you get going, the better.
Key cards:
Staging Areas & Insight combo - The -1 defense value is huge! You can Portal away Vader/Maul with a four, which isn't hard at all. This card might also prompt the pulling of a shield. That works right into this deck's strength. They can't pull Fanfare, Allegations of Corruption, Coward, There Is No Try, and We'll Let Fate Decide.
Qui-gon Jinn - He's a tank. Totally immunity is good these days.
Owen and Beru Lars - The anti-Watto tech.
Leia's Blaster Rifle - It makes characters and vehicles lost if 'hit'. Do you realize how good that is? I'm packing Grimtaash to cancel Molator (V) by the way...
Alter - I hate Senate so the Premiere versions just don't cut it.
Matchups:
Hunt Down: You should win. You'll both be losing to Visage. You have retrieval, but they don't. Your massive damage/evasion/character removal wins out.
SYCFA: Set up FAST. Ditch Insight for I Hope She's Alright. Take over the Death Star docking bay with Qui-gon with saber. Save Alters for Fear Will Keep Them In Line (V).
Dark Deal: Once again, set up extremely fast. If you have some luck on your side, you might win. Sometimes I can slow them down enough on Cloud City to pull it out.
Combat: Ouch. Try to outdamage them. Track some fives and sixes for combat while attempting to battle them off Naboo.
Walkers: Try to flip right away, but you also need someone to disrupt the blowing away of the generators. Mechanical Failure is huge if you can use it to set up one big battle.
Watto: Master Luke is good for bouncing Watto. Qui-gon is even more of a tank in this matchup, too. Also, don't forget Owen & Beru draw destiny if not able to otherwise.
Any comments/suggestions would be welcome.
