Strategy

This is my Hunt Down deck. The strategy does not vary much from your typical hunt down. Usually (depending on my opponent and whether or not it is advantagous to give away force) I bust out the Back Door early on. I have 11 cards which get Vader on the table, so getting him out immediately is never a problem. Imperail holonet (a hologram) pulls any Imperial into hand as well as cancels Transmission Terminated. So 4 masterful moves, 2 imperial holonets, 2 Blizzard 4’s and 3 Vaders ensure that he gets out. I use 1 of each of the quality Vader’s to handle whatever situation a given Vader would be best for. Since the holonet can pull any imperial, it can also be used for Mara Jade, Tarkin (V), or a storm trooper garrison. Heavy characters, you are beatens, and destiny adders ensure regular beatings. If Sidious finds his way to the table, he’ll usually goto to the Visage site and knock Jedi out of play. It isn’t a heavy space deck, but Mual can always go up in the Infiltrator to knock some heads and delay their strategy while Vader stacks up the lethal force damage.

Here are some match ups: WYS: Not usually difficult. If possible set up Vader in the Cantina. Then, depending how things are going either get the Tat docking Bay covered, don’t use Back Door, and bust out S and D. Otherwise, get cover the back door as a secondary, and drain off points. Later in the gain, they will usually have flipped from space control and will make an attempt at a site. Have a You Are Beaten ready for them.

Profit: No trouble at all. Start with Mara Jade and Dr. Evazon. Put Vader at the other site (not the AC) and have him drain. Get Maul to the AC immediately, bust out the Phantom Menace and their face is all but sealed.

LSC: This can be somewhat tricky. Vader and Maul are Jedi, so they don’t have many options except going to the Combat arena. Put Mara Jade and stick at the Back Door to keep the damage flowing (she is not a Jedi). Track good destinies and make sure the anti-LSC shield is on the table. If you keep Vader alive you will usually not only keep them from draining, but you’ll get plenty of excellent beating opportunities.

RST: Depending how they play this, you shouldn’t have a huge problem. Try to get Arica to the bunker (undercover) to prevent the explosion. If they play scout fairies like a lot of RST decks do, let loose Vader and friends for a rompin’ stompin good time.

Massassi: Vader goes to the Yavin docking bay. Either play Back Door and cover the two battle ground heavily for some S and D, or move forces into Yavin territory to take out Techs and such. Option A is usually best.

I could keep going, but there are numerous other light side decks, and I don’t want to list the rest of them. I can give out other strategies, explanations at request. Thanks for reading and please, tell me what you think and/or suggestions.

Added Stuff: I actually have 2 We must accelerate plans, but I put the deck on the site w/o the actual deck handy so they got replaced by forgetfulness. The Blast Door Controls is a good idea, I'll add that. I still don't want/need evader/monnoks. I have never had any problems with force generation, I had holotable in consideration, but I don't need the force. As for what do I do about Jedi...hum...let me think...oh, uh perhaps I battle them. I seriously dislike the Epic Duel stuff and it doesn't even handle all Jedi, and there is the possibility of losing the duel. No thanks.
