Tarkin Doctrine is a Dark Effect from Virtual Set 0.
Card Text
Deploy on Death Star. During your control phase, for each battleground system controlled by your Star Destroyer within 2 parsecs of Death Star, opponent loses 1 Force. Canceled if opponent controls this system.
Lore
The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station.
Rulings
- Even if the Death Star is somehow a battleground (e.g. due to Presence Of The Force), it does not count as being a battleground system within 2 parsecs of itself.[1]
- If there are (for example) 2 applicable systems, this card initiates a single instance of 2 Force loss (not '1 and 1').
- This mandatory action may be initiated by Dark as a top-level action. If both players pass consecutively during Dark's control phase and this hasn't been initiated yet, it initiates itself as an automatic action.
