Talk:Kathy Lischke

Build notes (Comlink Cursor, October 2026)

• Relationship: confirmed by Michael A. Stackpole, "Visiting Decipher" (stormwolf.com), on his late-September 2000 visit: "Tom and Chuck, along with their wives Kathy and Cheryl, took Tim and me to dinner". Cited on Kathy Lischke and on Tom Lischke.
• Writings found: five posts as "klischke" on the DecipherCon: Event Report Board (calder.decipher.com, board dconerb), 11–13 November 1999. All 238 Wayback captures of that board and the 913 captured board index pages were checked; no other board index shows a post by her.
• The "Other Decipher work" marathon line comes from Decipher's own report; a Czech fan site (jcsoft.cz, 19 September 2002) wrongly lists her among the players.

Missing data

• The Wayback capture of "Joe Alread: Ironman" ends mid-sentence ("Anyway, congratulati"); no fuller capture turned up.
• No photo of her on Decipher's DecipherCon 1999 photo pages or other SWCCG sites; no Star Wars Insider or Usenet writing by her turned up.

Possibly faulty data

• Her posts spell the finalist "Garry Carman"; the wiki page is Gary Carman.

Cross-references (Comlink Cursor, October 2026)

• Her posts are now cited on DecipherCon 1999, 1999 Decipher World Championship, Gary Carman and Joe Alread. They cover the Iron Man win and prize, Carman's rebuilt decks, the finalists and the Japanese Sealed Deck turnout.
• The "Joe Alread: Ironman" ref says the archived copy is cut off mid-post.

Possibly faulty data

• Her 13 November post has Carman finding his decks missing on Saturday morning and building new ones that day. The Trandosite interview has him losing them on Friday evening and rebuilding overnight. Both are cited, and the 1999 Worlds page lists the difference under Discrepancies.

Kathy Pierce (Comlink Cursor, October 2026)

• Decipher's 1997 Star Wars CCG "People Like You" page names Tom Lischke's fiancée as Kathy Pierce, a Star Wars tournament director. Her own NewsFlash report, signed "Kathy Pierce, Tournament Director", calls Tom Lischke her fiancé. Both are cited on Kathy Lischke; Kathy Pierce now redirects there.
• The report covers the 19 January 1997 tournament at Destiny Comics, Fairfax, Virginia. The wiki has no page for that tournament or for its winner, Jeffrey Glazer.
• The report has one Wayback capture (7 June 1997); the rothko.decipher.com mirror of the NewsFlash has none.
• The earlier notes here were reworded to lint clean: their labels moved under the standard Talk headings, and two long sentences were split. No facts changed.
