Missing data

  • Decipher's own transcript page of the 28 December 2001 Holland broadcast (decipher.com/starwars/rfd011228transcript.html, Wayback 20081228162856) was not readable during the build; the article cites the audio.
  • Decipher WARS Radio episode 4 (Holland interview part 2, YouTube FWBYRjMvhZw) could not be fetched; no Internet Archive copy found.
  • Bill Bisco's YouTube videos cited here have Wayback captures of the watch pages but no Internet Archive movie items yet.
  • The Virginian-Pilot article of 11 December 1995 (scholar.lib.vt.edu) returns HTTP 410; it was read only through a summary tool and is not cited.

Possibly faulty data

  • Force drains: Chuck Kallenbach (Booster Pack 07, 24:32–26:07; Corran on the Horn 16) credits playtester Mark Tuttle at the first in-person playtest. Jerry Darcy (KendallCast, Premiere/ANH/Hoth, 16:19–17:30) tells a Darcy–Tesh playtest story and says several people reached the idea. The article gives both.
  • Darcy's first day: "April 14, 1995" (RFD 12, 22:50) vs "April 1st" (KendallCast 2020, 09:05).
  • Darcy's last set: "After Endor, I was no longer at the company" (2020) vs credits "up through ... Death Star II ... my swan song" (2021).
  • Operatives final review: Darcy says he attended every final card review; Kallenbach says Darcy was not at the meeting where operatives were boosted.
  • Parker Brothers and the license: only Darcy says it, as "my understanding" and "one of the factors" (2021, 43:08–44:29).
  • Whether work on Star Wars began right after the Star Trek launch (Braunlich, 2022) or "about a year later" (Tesh, 1999).
  • Booster Pack 28 page says 24 August 2022; the existing Tom Braunlich page agrees.

Marginal cuts

  • West End Games details: Force sensitivity, the Imperial Security Bureau and the krayt dragon came from WEG material (Darcy 2020 and 2021).
  • Kallenbach's account that weapons were not playtested before Premiere (Booster Pack 07, 26:08) and that attrition grew from it.
  • Darcy on Dagobah: for one financial quarter SWCCG outsold Magic (KendallCast Dagobah, 1:15:40). Single source.
  • Special Edition size "324 cards"; operatives made late by copying one design (Corran on the Horn 13, 24:13–25:57).
  • Darcy's DigiPen game-design class uses the SWCCG glossary as an example of overcomplication (2020, 26:02).

Build notes

  • Interviews transcribed with faster-whisper (small.en / base.en) from Internet Archive audio: KendallCast Darcy 2020, Premiere/ANH/Hoth, Dagobah, Cloud City and Jabba's Palace; Corran on the Horn 13 and 16; Booster Pack 07, 27 and 28; Radio Free Decipher 2, 12, 13, 14, 16 and the 28 December 2001 special; Decipher WARS Radio 3. Quotes were checked against those transcripts; names were checked against a second source where the speech model garbled them.
  • Ryan Jellison quotes come from Bill Bisco's interview (18 May 2025); the My Little Pony passage was checked against the audio (36:15–39:20).
  • 16 October 2026: Silver bullets now covers the printed counter-card line (teching, Mother May I, Defensive Shields). Origins stay here.
