Introduction

Here near Washington D.C. an extension to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is about to open. This FUN deck is meant to give new players a look at life in space in the Star Wars Universe. I’m primarily going to use this deck as a means of teaching. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The published list has 59 cards.

Update - Sept 4: Played the deck last night. It's a little strange, and not anywhere as efficient as a Hidden Mains or X-wing swarm, but was a good deal of fun. With a number of setups you can draw lots of destiny, or keep your opponent from doing very much.

Out:

We Didn't Hit It

Gold Squadron 1

Nien Nunb

Desert

Sandwhirl

Menace Fades

In:

Squadron Assignments

Millienium Falcon

Captain Han Solo

Home 1

Luke Skywalker (V)

Artoo in Red 5

Please remember that Get To Your Ships is just the EP1 version of Squadron Assignments. No difference other than the title and the picture.  :) I might add the second one so that I can use each one every turn.

First turn, grab General Calrissian before you activate. Activate at least 3. Search for Endor. Show Calrissian and pull Gold Squadron 1, and deploy both at Endor for 3. During opponent’s turn, remind them not to activate Force for Endor due to Strike Planning.

We Didn’t Hit It is optional. I’m thinking of replacing it with Squadron Assignments – so that I can search for 2 ships/pilots per turn.

The characters and ships are in order so that you can match them up from one list to the other. Here are the notes for each one:

Characters:

Wedges Antilles, Red Squadron Leader – Cancel a destiny with Hobbie, Red Leader in Red 1, or anyone in Red Squadron 4

Derek ‘Hobbie’ Kilvian

General Calrissian – Can pull with Strike Planning

Nien Nunb – Add a destiny when with General Cal

Tycho Celchu – Spy pilot – possible beatdown?

Dash Rendar – brings down opponent’s power in battle

Ric Olie, Bravo Leader – Adds TWO destiny when with another bravo pilot (needs 2 bravo ships)

Officer Dolphe – subtracts 2 from each of opponent’s battle destinies

Lieutenant Arven Wendik – adds a destiny to attrition

Lieutenant Rya Kirsch – droid starfighters deploy +2 – marginal text, but ship is good

Officer Ellberger – adds a destiny to attrition

Boushh – undercover spy

Corran Horn – ability 4 pilot

Starships:

Red Squadron 1 – immune < 5, practically immune to Tallon Roll

Red Squadron 4 – immune < 4, extra maneuver when Hobbie piloting, cheaper use of X-Wing Cannons

Red Leader In Red 1 – counts as Red Squadron pilot for Wedge, draws one if not able to otherwise – good for hit and forfeit.

Gold Squadron 1 – immune < 4 or 6, deploy -2 to Endor, Immune to Tallon Roll

Green Squadron 3 – immune < 4, pilot is a Spy

Outrider – immune < 4, independent (so no Tallon Roll)

Bravo 1 – immune < 4, deploy -1 to Naboo, Republic (so no Tallon Roll)

Bravo 2 – immune < 4, deploy -1 to Naboo, Bravo Squad pilots forfeit +2, Republic (so no Tallon Roll)

Bravo 3 – immune < 4, deploy -1 to Naboo, each opponent battle destiny draws at Naboo are -1, Republic (so no Tallon Roll)

Bravo 4 – immune < 4, deploy -1 to Naboo, adds 1 to Force drain at Naboo, Republic (so no Tallon Roll)

Bravo 5 – immune < 3, deploy -1 to Naboo, Republic (so no Tallon Roll)

Spiral – reacting power 5, forfeit of 7 for a cost of 2 is great!

Admirals Order:

I’ll Take The Leader – adds 2 to immunity, hits starships without pilots a bit

Locations:

Endor – relatively safe system – little activation for opponent

Kashyyyk – ability of 6 needed for battle destiny – converts opponent’s version

Kessell – big drain

Kiffex – nice drain

Kirdo III – fetches desert and sandwhirl, and opponent gets a massive drain of 0

Naboo – big drain with Bravo 4

Desert – generic - pullable

Hidden Base System – Play me to find out ;)

Cards I Mike Take Out:

We Didn’t Hit It

Menace Fades

Order To Engage

Cards I Might Add:

Docking And Repair Facility – Bacta Tank for ships

Squadron Assignments – 2 ships/pilots per turn

Obi-Luke w/ Sticks

Ten Nunb and Blue 5 – no B-wings in current deck

Dutch and Gold 1 (V)

Home One – Outside of Spiral, no capital ships in deck

Intruder Missles

I hope the deck gets a couple of comments being in the "fun" category. Thanks for any suggestions!
